I couldn't see her feet since the gown was covering it. “The black box, did you get out of the black box?” I asked. When I saw the black box open with nothing inside. “Yes. This is my cave, and I was unfortunately trapped inside this box.” I shook my head. Everything seemed confusing to me. I still didn't understand a thing of what's going on at all.

The weak are eaten by the strong ones. I kicked the box wildly, I couldn't think of anything else to do. I thrashed inside provoking the ones imprisoning me. I need to get out there! "Are you not quieting?" a gun fired. I ducked covering my head with both of my hands. My heart raced and thumped out of my chest. It sounded as if something hit the box, penetrating inside. The asshole fired a gun through the box. "Still breathing bitch? Heard what I just did? Next time it'll be on your pretty little head, you're just lucky that I missed it." Laughter erupted outside.

“I can open it.” “So can I.” “It may be trapped.” Lucas looked up. “Did my father trap it for me or for men like you?” Adrian did not answer. That silence told Lucas enough. He placed the box on the desk and searched its edges. There was no lock, only a thin seam and a rusted latch. His hands shook more than he wanted. Adrian saw it but did not speak. Lucas pressed the latch. It refused to move. He tried again. Pain shot through his ribs, and his breath broke.

The man forcefully dragged Caroline out of the car, and the driver held open the house's door, pushing her inside. The door was slammed shut and locked. Caroline tried to open the door, but it was futile. She felt trapped, and desperation set in. She called out, "Who are you? Why are you holding me against my will?" She then heard the car's engine start, realizing she might be imprisoned to her death. With no one around to help, no phone, and no food, Caroline felt helpless. She looked around the empty house, her fear growing as she explored its icy-cold walls.
