Frozen. Was this my end? Or the beginning of something worse? I didn’t know. But I prayed, hard and fast. To God. To the wind. To anyone listening. ‘Please. Don’t let me disappear like this. Don’t let him win. Don’t let me die in the dark.’ Just then, the trunk flew open. Again. Light. Blinding, golden, and angry—flooded the darkness. I gasped, flinched, shrank into myself like a cornered animal.

Darkness, both metaphorical and tangible, enveloped our existence, casting doubt upon every word spoken, and every gesture exchanged. Caught in this treacherous labyrinth, my escape to the bar, my only sanctuary from the perpetual night, faded into a distant memory. Instead, I found myself trapped, a helpless captive within the suffocating confines of our shared space. The walls closed in, closing off any semblance of freedom or salvation, leaving me at the mercy of the demons that now inhabited Sebastian's mind.

I knew I had been out of it for so long and I fought so hard in panic because I knew my pack needed me but no matter how much I pushed there was just nothing but darkness pressing me down. The same darkness I loved kept me hostage in my own body. I screamed in my heard, punched and pushed with all I had but it seemed I could not negotiate my way through the darkness that trapped me down. Nothing was happening, I could hear nothing, just absolute hell. I cried over and over in my head yet it helped no one until I felt the darkness swirl inside me.

I can barely wiggle, unable to thrash around as I reach up to hold his forearm at the back of my head. Dark tendrils creep into my vision, swirling like shadows in a murky abyss, their chilling presence threatening to ensnare me in their malevolent grip. I battle fiercely against the overwhelming pull, summoning every ounce of strength I possess to cling to the flickering light of my life. But as the darkness encroaches, I feel my consciousness slipping away, and with a heavy heart, I realise I am teetering on the brink of oblivion, certain that I am about to succumb to a void I fear being trapped in.

It was the darkness. I was trapped, deep in the depths of the earth, with no way out. I couldn’t see, couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe. I was lost, utterly and completely lost. "Help!" I whispered "Please… someone… help…" But there was no one. Nothing but the silence, the emptiness. And then a fant light appeared. It was distant but it was there. I scrambled to my feet with trembling legs and began to run towards it. The light grew brighter as I got closer.

I rocked side to side, my back to the wall. "I can't keep the flame lit in this darkness anymore. I need a miracle to save me from this hell, come set me free. Freedom. Escape! I'm so surrounded by the darkness with no sign of any light, someone needs to save my soul. Still I'm trapped here in my mind alone, I need another hope tonight. Oh someone, set me free. Beneath the haunting song that calls like magic to a child, a wilting flower dies. It's trapped in darkness left to rot. Oh my god, I'm lost in the darkness of my mind. All the alarm bells in my head started ringing all at once as I watched him make his way towards me like he was an apex predator and I was his prey. Run b*tch… run! “Ahhh!” I was trapped in darkness. I could not move nor could I escape . The darkness was slowly consuming me each and every day that I stayed in its grasp . I tried running away but I did not seem to be able to move. I dropped onto the dark floor trying to claw my way out but I could not seem to be able to move anywhere even though I was actively trying to move away.

I sit there, a prisoner in my own mind, trapped in this dark, desolate realm. The world around me is shrouded in perpetual darkness, punctuated only by the occasional flicker of an unseen flame. Black smoke curls and writhes around me, a fucking sinister, malevolent presence. I feel empty, hollow, like a shell without a soul. There is no light here, no hope, no escape.

With each stride, my heartbeat increased. What the hell is happening? When I reached the forest, I kept going. I could not make out a single thing. I couldn't see the tip of my nose and the dark shapes of the tree trunks served to make the forest eerier. My eyes were pinned straight ahead. I was sobbing on the inside, feeling hopeless and trapped. My feet burned. I could step on bugs, but I wouldn't know. Hell, a dinosaur could stomp in front of me and I wouldn't notice because of the dark.
