Trina's P.O.V I can't move, I can't talk, I can't do anything but hear. I feel trapped in my own body. I've heard his voice several times and it always breaks my heart when he cries and I can't do anything. I wanna touch him but I can't move, I want to tell him it's okay but I can't seem to be able to move my lips. I miss everything so much, especially him. The whole operating system has been crushed by some virus.” The mechanic from the IT department surrenders his hands in the air breaking his trance of thought.

The Trap The instant we stepped into the corridor, we heard it. A car engine revved outside. A voice shouted orders. Damian cursed under his breath. "They've blocked off all the doors," he growled. "They're going to trap us." Panic clutched my chest, but I clenched my teeth and kept my head. "There has to be some other door." Damian's eyes flickered with calculation. Then he grabbed my wrist and started to move. "Come on."

"It feels longer." "It always does." He was quiet for a moment. Then: "You're not trapped." I looked at him. "We literally can't leave." "You're not trapped," he repeated. "You're waiting. There's a difference." "What difference?" "Trapped means there's no exit. Waiting means the exit exists, you just can't access it yet. Your brain is responding to the first scenario. But we're living in the second one. The door will open. We just have to be patient until it does."

She felt her breathe stuck, somewhere down her throat that could not escape, just like the air that was forced to stay outside her system. Her hands scraped his wrists, trying their utmost to pull his hand away, but to no avail his hold only became stronger, his wrath only stormier. She saw the black spots before she felt the unconsciousness engulfing her senses.

Trapped was the word that lived in the center of me…caught between two claims, both violent, both impossible to escape. He watched me, and there was a heat in his gaze that wasn’t just ownership. It scared me more than the threats. It made me small and furious at once. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t think.

Completely, utterly trapped. The only way out is to quit the program. But I cannot. I cannot even imagine it. To do that would not only undo everything I have fought for but burn it all down to ash. It would crush everything to the ground, leaving me with nothing but regret and the weight of wasted effort. So how the hell do I deal with this? Yup. My life just became officially, irrevocably messed up.

That was exactly what they were now. All of them were trapped inside, and Stella was the one controlling everything. If Summer didn’t leave Harbor City soon, she had a feeling she would die.

My voice wavered as I forced the question out. “What is it? What are we looking at?” Aziz’s expression soured, his dark eyes narrowing at the floor. “Clever thing. I’ll give them that.” His voice was calm, but edged with annoyance. “It’s a teleportation trap.” My stomach sank. “A trap? Then… then we can just avoid it, right? Go around?” I turned to him, grasping for hope. “If we know what it is, there has to be another way.”
