Zeke called down. I climbed back up. “There’s a chest and this weird book, I don’t know. But nothing is in the book.” “The cover says Ghost Stories.” Wyatt pointed out. I swear the cover was blank before. I sighed and handed it off to Hunter. “It must be enchanted or something.” Hunter opened the book. “Who is Captain Rowell ‘The Cruel” Swale?” “I don’t know,” I answered. “Why?” “There’s a story in here about him.”

His eyes red and wet from tears making me feel like a total heel for making him cry. “I hope that after I tell you a story…. That you will understand why I did what I did.” He says as I look down at the book noticing for the first time the detail that is on its cover. It is of two wolves laying on a grassy knoll. One’s head laying on the back of the others neck as they both stare at the full moon. For some reason it brings a sense of peace to me. My body relaxes as I take a deep breath. “I’m ready to listen.” I say laying my hand over top of his that is on the book. There’s nothing to gain by arguing with a troll. “Do you think you could take us to Raviva before things start collapsing and exploding? It’s all falling apart, in case you hadn’t noticed.” I didn’t bother explaining why it was all falling apart, or who had set it off. “Oh, it’s just a bit of lava,” said the troll, finally collecting himself. “Nothing to worry about.”

I had a really good laugh when I saw a comment asking about him and how it’s unfair for him to have two failed happy endings. Before that comment, I already planned Travis’ story. His story has been on my mind ever since I knew he would fall in love with Beverly and lose her tragically. I never planned it from the very beginning of the book but it gets me excited now!

ISABELLE’S POV I flip the page of the book with the help of my left hand. The name of the book which I am currently reading is “The tales of Ash Ville”. It is a nice book and it includes the horror stories of the town. It is a fictional book but I like it and has captured my attention. I found this in the library a few weeks back and I thought to read it. Today I saw it in the books which I had not read so I decided to read this one.
