**** A white limousine stands outside my apartment complex. The chauffeur opens the door for me, my mom behind me. Mom sits across from me, looking gorgeous in a white pantsuit. She's my date to the event. I picked a sleeveless white dress for the occasion. I heard that white is the colour of rebirth and new beginnings. I think that's the chapter in my life that I'm stepping into: New Beginnings. Plus, it's a new year! It's the perfect time for new beginnings. It takes less than thirty minutes to get to the event.

Today should be November 15th. I opened my eyes and glanced at the calendar on my phone. When I woke up, a doctor in a white coat was standing beside me. I remembered him; his name was Henry Lewis, my senior and also my attending doctor. Then there was another man... At this moment, he was standing in front of me, looking hostile. "You faint so easily, Mia Frank. When did you start learning how to act?" he sneered. My head throbbed for a moment, and I finally recalled his identity.

Tanner whispered. “Newbie huh. This is going to be a piece of cake!” Chase yells from the other side of the table. “Oh, it’s on!” Jack says. I have to start first; the first ball I throw I miss. Shit is it just the nerves? What is it? I need to focus. Everyone starts laughing. “This is the way you play newbie! Haha, loser.” Chase says laughing. He scored on his first shot. It’s my turn again, I try to stay focused and aim correctly, I end up scoring. My eyes open wide, I have to drink what's in the mini cup because I scored. I drink it quickly, eww, so bitter.

The atmosphere in the room appeared packed with possibilities as Abhi and Rudra carried on their talk; science and mysticism danced on the border of comprehension, urging Abhi to go beyond his scientific convictions.

Xavier asked. "Yes, Alpha. But she is Aria, not Ariana," Madam Kate said. Xavier eyed Madam Kate and then looked at Aria. "I know what I called. Isn't Aria the short for Ariana?" The room remained silent. Her original name was Ariana, but Xavier had shortened it to Aria for an endearing reason. She swallowed hard and thought it was best to answer his question before he flared up again. "You are right, Alpha. My original name is Ariana."
