Novel & Cerita True Luna: Finding My True Mate

“Now what is it? I have a place to be. Let’s talk later, please.” “T—this can’t wait for later. It’s urgent.” One of them spoke up on behalf of the others who seemed to still be finding their voices. My brows arched as I turned my head slightly, and sparing them a look. “What could be so important?” I demanded impatiently, and if only I’d known, I would’ve braced myself. The moment they dropped the bombshell, I held my chest in shock, terror written all over my face. “We’ve found out where she is, and it’s the neighboring pack. As a matter of fact, she’s been crowned and presently the Luna to Damon, the powerful Alpha there.”

When Lucien steps forward, taking his parents' place at the center of the dais, excitement ripples through me. “My dear friends,” he begins. “It is with great joy that I announce I have found the perfect she-wolf to become my Luna and aid me in my duties.” My breath catches. Moon starts spinning excitedly inside my mind. Out of instinct, I take one step forward. Lucien stretches his hand out. To me, I think, for one beautiful, foolish second. Yet another female takes it before I can even close the distance between us. I freeze as Lucien smiles at her, proudly announcing, “Please meet Liana Voss, my chosen mate and future Luna!”

“There’s no way the Moon Goddess would curse me with you.” Her face flushed with humiliation, and the world felt like it was spinning. Laughter echoed around her, cruel and unforgiving. “Curse?” she repeated, struggling to hear her own voice. “Look at you, Sara,” Quentin mocked, his voice loud enough for everyone to hear. “A weak, wolfless orphan? How could someone like you ever be Luna of Soomdale? You’re a disaster waiting to happen.” Each word landed like a slap. She didn’t even want to be Luna. All she had wanted… was him.

he grins, making my cheeks heat up. I slapped his chest and shook my head, looking over to make sure Sybil and Lucy didn't hear him. He spins me around and pulls me into his chest with his arms wrapped around me again while we listen to the rest of Liam's speech. "We are especially excited about our new beginnings and would like to take this opportunity to announce that we have finally found our mate and perfect Luna. I'm sure many of you have noticed us with her around the pack grounds. Lucy, will you please come up here?" Liam says.

’ Lyra finally whispered, breaking through my haunting thoughts. She didn’t stop there though, her voice still light, she teased, “I’d admit he’s quite the catch but we know he doesn’t and would never love us.” I laughed at myself… of course I knew and I had no plans of fighting with his bond with his true mate. “Then why did you say yes… Do you really want to play the fake Luna while he lies with his woman every night?” The bitter truth in her worlds threw me off guard and I stumbled over a root, my paws digging into the soil as I caught myself.

“We are a love match, my wife is my mate.” “Really?” “She’s also a true Luna,” Danielle tells her. “Wow,” Silas gasps. “How did you get one of those? Is there some bond ritual to perform?” “I want to be a true Luna,” Wendy says. “My mom was a true Luna, so I have a better chance at it.” “Not how it works, Wendyland.” Her other brother snarls, but all she does is stick her tongue out at him. “But do tell us how one can acquire a true Luna.”

I responded briefly. Numerous other lords and ladies approached me, eager to introduce themselves, yet my attention remained fixed on the scent. Finally, escaping their grasp, I explored through the rooms, attempting to trace the source of the intoxicating scent. However, this turned out to be a poorly thought-out strategy, as I was consistently stopped and approached at every corner, hindering my attempt to find the source of the scent. After a series of conversations, I looked for some relief outside. The entire grand mansion seemed to carry the scent, which I believed belonged to my destined mate. When a wolf turns 18, they emit a unique scent that only their destined mates can detect.

Of everyone, she would understand Nala the most. “Not well.” The Luna admitted. “I convinced myself that I was going to win and abolish the Games forever. If that conviction had ever wavered, I think I would’ve run.” Maddie walked to her side and hopped onto the desk beside her, dipping her head as a sweet smile graced her lips. “Then I fell for Michael.” Nala snorted. “I doubt I’ll find my true mate in the Grey Stone Alpha.” “You never know.” She shrugged, looking at up her, a glint of mischief in her eyes. “True mates are getting more common as of late.” She winked.

He was hesitant to speak, but said it anyway. "A former Luna?" My question came out unprecedented, I had meant to ask in my head. What the hell? A former Luna? My mate was… "Yes, more like a disgraced Luna. She was recently publicly rejected by her mate, the alpha of the Tokenmoon pack on the basis of infidelity. Finding out about her was difficult. From my sources, the last they heard of her was at an auction in a high end brothel. Her ex husband sold her to them as punishment for her infidelity."

The tiny droplets fell, decorating the purple attire and the black hair like transparent pearls, delicate and fragile. However, that scene made the delicate white face of Felicia stand out even more. He asked, "Who are you?" Felicia blinked her eyes, suddenly remembering who this person was! Red Stone Pack! Oh! Could this man be her future brother-in-law? Felicia had a sister, Monica, destined to marry into the Red Stone Pack as their Luna since childhood. The Red Stone Pack had an exalted status, but now they humbled themselves and bestowed their grace by selecting a Luna who was a commoner. And obviously, the chosen future Luna was Princess Monica of the Blue Moon Pack.
