Alpha Atlas
I slipped on a pair of thick socks and crept towards the bedroom door.
As I entered the hallway, the sound of voices made me halt.
I could hear Atlas and Finn talking from the living room. Their tones weren't hushed, leading me to believe they weren't trying to hide the topic of their conversation. One word in particular stood out, the one word I had been over analyzing since my sudden transformation.
True-mates.
"You are lucky, Atlas. Most Fae spend thousands of years alone, all without ever meeting their true-mate. Most marry and produce children, but will never know the fulfillment of meeting their true-mate." Finn's voice sounded heavy, loaded with hundreds of year's worth of knowledge.
