I just hoped he would take me seriously, I had no doubt she could hold her own; but did not want her to have to. We loaded up into the truck, it was an older beat up thing; but it had wheels and moved. Gas was in short supply so we only used the vehicles if we were sent out further, which we had been. Todd was driving, with Devon riding shotgun and the rest of us were piled in the back. Jason was keeping an eye out behind us, guns ready should he spot anything; and Devon was doing the same in the front. I was sandwiched in between Liam and Jason, all of our eyes scanning the horizon. We were one of the few teams who got sent a bit further out, trying to track the Nephilim and see where they

Claire turned and looked at Arsen, who had been staring at her intently the whole time. “Because after that, they will improve themselves, just as those red leaves will fall, replaced by a new, more mature and stronger spirit,” Claire continued with a faint smile on her lips. Arsen was stunned by her words. He immediately recalled how his father had treated him all this time, causing his eyes to well up with tears without him realizing it. “Believe me, no matter how great a person’s mistakes may be, they will change for the better with God’s intervention. Life is beautiful if we view it with an open and objective mind,” Claire continued, causing a single tear to roll down Arsen’s cheek uncon

"Damn" Daniel breathed with his eyes fixed on Rachel. "I think I've got a boner" he groaned and I laughed. My eyes were fixed on Angel who was busy sexy dancing with Ally. That girl was definitely something else. "Dude, your girl's drunk" Justin nudged me and I ignored his comment about Angel being my girl. I watched as Angel reached for another can of beer. Ted reached the stereo and turned the volume down making the girls glare daggers at him.

I scoffed. "She is not just an ordinary woman, she is the chosen one" "Chosen one?" Is she a human?" I inquired. "I really don't know,my Lord..From what I saw she looks like a human but I could perceive the fragrance of the fallen Angels emitting from her" "The fallen Angels?" I exclaimed, shocked. "Yes my lord" "No! This can be!! What should I do?"I inquired.. The fallen Angels are one of the strongest pillars of Earth.

She sniffed, walking inside, feeling a bit depressed that she didn’t get that hug. Selena walked after her, bombarding her with questions, “What happened? Why didn’t you call me? How can you be so careless? Was that why you went to the hospital?!” “I fell down.” Cassandra mumbled, throwing herself on the couch, staring up to see the cat’s tail sashaying from the ceiling fan. She also noticed how the lamp of the fan was missing.

Even though he knows Kyra is not his mate, he still has feelings for her and it still hurts him to see Tyler and Kyra together. Cael and Hugo are together at headquarters to inform Cain of their encounter with the demon that day. They left the others at home. While sitting on the sofa, they face Cain, Luke, and Beatrix. Because Tyler and Josh were secretive, Cael made up another story to explain to his father what had happened. “Are you telling us now, Cael, there are fallen angels here in the human world. They are the destroyer and the angel of death?” Cain asked. “Yes, dad. You heard it right,” said Cael.

she said. "Yes." "What you are." "Yes." She was quiet for a moment. Then she began. She told me what she knew, which was more than anyone else had ever known to tell me. That fallen angels — the name itself was a reduction, she said, a simplification that missed the actual nature of the thing — were not fallen in the sense of having been cast out or punished. They were chosen to descend. Sent into the world for specific purposes, in specific times, carrying specific capacities that the world needed and couldn't generate on its own.

I knew she was broken, hurt and drunk so I had to be careful with the words that came out of my mouth. She placed her small slim hand on my chest and unexpectedly my hand drifted to her hip and settled there. I am unable to pull back."Do you know why angels fall?" I asked. She tilted her head "Why?" "Because they are tricked by the devil." "You want to say you are a devil?" She chuckled and truth be told she really looks beautiful when she laughs. "Of course not." I stated. “Then why are you trying to cover your face?.” She asked. I didn’t actually think she would notice that she was drunk.

The observatory shook as dark portals tore open in the walls. Kael was on his feet instantly, shifting into his powerful wolf form with a thunderous roar. Damien melted into shadows, ready to strike. Serena grabbed Liora, pulling her daughter behind her while violet magic flared around them both. From the largest portal stepped Vesperian, the fallen angel, his six black wings spread wide. Behind him, shadowy figures of their past emerged — twisted echoes of Viktor, Elara, and several of Kael’s fallen pack brothers.

“It’s a fallen angel, like you said. It represents the fall Damian and I took on the day our mother tried to kill us.” My brows snapped together. “Fall? You saved your brothers. How’s that falling?” His expression was dark and twisted, his eyes far away, haunted, angry. “Until that day Damian and I were innocent. After that we weren’t. We’d already experienced our fair share of violence from our father, but it never affected us like that day did. The flames of that day they singed our wings and our fall into darkness began. We became who we are today. That’s why the fallen angel is kneeling in pools of blood.”
