I watch as Author embarrass my dad – they look like two long lost best friends. “I see Victoria has made you pull your last hairs out” my dad chuckles , referring to his hair piece. I place my hand over my mouth , and giggle into my hand. I watch as Author gives my dad a look of annoyance which is then accompanied by a smile. I start to zone out as the two beside me begins to remise their youth days – the trouble they had caused , the girls they had wooed and eventually started to speak about the girls who had stolen their hearts.

Yeah,” I mumbled. “I almost forgot about that.” I wasn’t lying—I really had forgotten. With everything that had happened, it was hard to keep track of time. I was turning twenty. Twenty years old. It felt strange to say it aloud. Time had flown so fast, and yet it hadn’t. It was as though all those years had slipped through my fingers like water, especially the ones I lost.
