SWEET SPOT
We laughed and talked about random things, the tension from earlier slowly melting away.
Then, without warning, I felt something cold and sticky run down the back of my head.
I gasped as juice poured over my hair, dripping down my neck and soaking into my shirt. I whipped around to see Aida and her two friends standing there, smirking.
“Oops,” Aida said with fake sweetness. “My mistake.”
She laughed, and the three of them walked away like nothing had happened.
Susie shot up from her seat immediately, eyes blazing. “That bitch—!”
