Lucian’s breath hitched.
“But if you stand in my way—” Elias’s voice dropped to a whisper, deadly and final, “I will.”
He turned, golden cloak whipping in the wind.
“This war isn’t over.”
“Elias—”
Elias didn’t turn around.
“Tell the others I’ll return when it’s time. Until then, stay out of my path.”
The skies bent beneath his will.
Glyphs spiraled in the air—brilliant gold etched with violet flame—as Elias, now fully Valarieth, stood at the head of the assembled legions. His armor shimmered with celestial heat, wings vast and molten, halo like a sunstone burning through the storm.
