Vessels Hollow Knight Novels & Stories

The sky over Aethel-Luna had changed from a scene of migration to a storm of deep anger. The Hollowed, the combined consciousness of the Swarm that had failed to capture a "Neo-Kin" vessel, had formed into a single, screaming force. It was a "Mind-Cyclone," a mile-high whirl of violet static and sharp data shards that turned the air into ozone and memory.

"You're the Hollow." A low laughter rolls from beneath the hood. I lift my chin despite the fear crawling up my spine. "Show me your face." The smoke thickens. "Are you not afraid?" it asks softly. "I have the Sanctum," I say, my voice shaking. "And I am the Vessel. If anyone should be afraid here, it's you." For a moment, the desert goes utterly silent. Then the Hollow laughs. It's deeper this time, almost pleased. "Ah," it murmurs. "Courage. How rare. How... exquisite."

The wardstone at the center was meant to pulse steady blue and flickered violently, crackling with instability. Standing before it were five figures in dark armor, their forms shifting as though they were partially made of smoke. Their leader turned slowly, head tilting as though sniffing the air. When its gaze found me, the wardstone flared crimson. Kyren stepped forward, weapon raised. “You will leave. Now.” The creature spoke, voice echoing from a cavernous hollow chest. “The vessel awakens.” Vessel. The word crawled under my skin like ice. Riven snarled. “Say that again and I will peel the shadow from your bones.”

Aria felt it the moment she stepped into the clearing. **Pain. Memory. Hunger.** It slammed into her chest like a drumbeat. One of the Hollowed looked up, sensing her. He pulled off his mask. He had no eyes. Only empty sockets, stitched with red thread. “Vessel,” he rasped. “You walk willingly.” Kael growled and moved in front of her. “She walks with *me*.” The man smiled, cracking skin stretched too thin. “Good. Let Thrennos see what he must break.”

“You carry not just power, but memory. The weight of every Vessel before you. To return… you must awaken.” She blinked. “Awaken what?” But the figure had vanished. The realm began to tremble. Back in Black Hollow, John prepared for the descent. Callen stood with him at the old altar, now reformed. “The Hollow Within exists between worlds. It’s not a place you walk into. It’s one you surrender to.” “I’m ready.” “You’re not,” Callen said. “But love doesn’t wait.” He handed John a blade not metal, but bone-white. “This belonged to your father. It only cuts through lies. You’ll need it.”

He can see her, feel her, but is unable to touch her. She had her head down throughout the meeting and was deliberately avoiding his gaze. Unlike her former sunny self, the Victory that sat in this room is no longer a shining beacon. A dark, ominous cloud in the form of Arthur Knight had casted a shadow over her, absorbing her light and warmth from scintillating towards the earth. Did Arthur Knight finally succeed in breaking Victory Sinclair's joyful spirit? Turning his attention towards the meeting at hand, he went on to announce the final item in the agenda, A. K. Media's next immersive event which will be in time for Halloween.

Valkyrie The battlefield was a nightmare. The blood-magic warriors were relentless, their eyes glowing red, their bodies moving with unnatural speed. I had fought beasts before, but these creatures—these corrupted soldiers—were something else entirely. "It's part of the Hollow!" I shouted to Phanos, who rode beside me, his bow drawn. "The Hollow?" He loosed an arrow, piercing one of the warriors through the chest. The creature barely faltered. "Yes! A revelation of dark magic," I panted, parrying a blade aimed at my neck. "They’re dangerous!"

"I am the Shadow Knight. Once Kaelen Dawnblade. Bearer of the Soulstone. Enemy of the corrupt Council. Avenger of the murdered innocents. I claim these names and purposes. I reject oblivion's comfort." The amalgamation of memories retreated, its composite features displaying surprise. The bone song changed tenor, becoming less overwhelming demand and more respectful recognition. The darkness surrounding him thinned, revealing the ossuary's interior fully for the first time. At its centre grew a tree unlike any in the living world. Its trunk and branches consisted entirely of bones fused together, not constructed but somehow grown into this impossible configuration. Instead of leaves, small f

The Hollowed lunged. It was a nightmare of motion. The white-furred monsters moved with a terrifying, jerky speed, covering the clearing in seconds. Kaelen met the first wave head-on. He didn't shift; he became a whirlwind of shadow and light. His glass blade carved through the Hollowed like they were made of mist, but unlike the Grave-Wolves, these creatures didn't just dissolve. They fought with a mindless, suicidal ferocity, their claws tearing at Kaelen’s pale skin, their teeth snapping at his throat.

My chest ached with longing I couldn’t name, and yet… there was a clarity now, a certainty that I had never felt before. My path was set. My legacy was calling. And in the shadows of the coming storm, he would be waiting. I rose, pulling on my cloak and the sword at my side. Crescent Crimson would be my sanctuary, my training ground, my forge. And soon… Winter Hollow would learn that the returned Wolfe had come back and ready to fight for what belongs to her.
