Vessels Hollow Knight Novels & Stories

The hollow shrieked, edges flaring violently, tendrils striking unpredictably, but the lattice held, chaotic yet coherent. The ally from the crevice moved forward, releasing a surge of stabilizing energy that intertwined with the twin currents. “It will test you in ways you cannot foresee,” the figure said quietly. “The hollow is older than anything you have faced. Its hunger is intelligence and instinct combined. It will try to break you, physically, mentally, spiritually.” Kael’s eyes narrowed. “Then we stand. We adapt. Together.”

BLADE 3. Pain. It was all I felt when I shot my eyes opened. I felt so sore and tired. The memories of how Lorenzo plunged deeper into me last night filled my mind. He was so cruel to me. I didn't find any enjoyment in it at all. I tried lifting my hands and I was happy It was back to functioning. My tit hurts too as a result of the sucking he did last night.

Vane did not speak; he merely twisted his wrist with terrifying, mechanical precision, leveraging his entire body weight to drive the crimson blade down toward Caelum’s collarbone. Across the shattered chamber, the twenty Void Knights pressed their advantage. Their black-silver weapons glinted through the dampening mist as they engaged Beta Marcus and the Citadel guards. Marcus swung his shadow-forged broadsword with disciplined brutality, but the pitch-black fog hung heavily in the air, leeching the magic from every strike and making every movement feel as though they were fighting under deep water.

This was the Hollow—an ancient, forbidden rite of the Virex line used only when a challenger refused to stay dead. "He’s a puppet," Hestia whispered, her face ashen. "The Virex Elders... they’ve invoked the Shadow Bond. They’re channeling their collective spite into his corpse." The moonlight blade in the creature’s hand hummed, a high-pitched frequency that set my teeth on edge. With a sound like tearing silk, the Hollow-Ronan vanished and reappeared ten feet closer, the blade whistling toward Zayden’s throat. Zayden roared, his form blurring as he intercepted the strike. The clash of moonlight against Alpha energy sent a shockwave that blew out the remaining window panes.

“The Hollow Throne does not grant power. It takes.” The air tore. The creature recoiled, shrieking, its form flickering. But it did not fall. Then Vame stepped forward. They raised a single hand, and the Hollowed One hesitated. Vame’s voice was a whisper, yet it rang through the chamber like a death knell. “I was the first. I was devoured.” They reached toward the Hollow Crown. The creature screamed. A pulse of raw energy exploded outward. The force knocked Rael backward, the book burning against his hands. The last thing he saw before darkness swallowed the chamber was Vame’s fingers grazing the Hollow Crown and the world shattering around them.

Hearing it spoken in the open air above the Atlantic gave it a different quality. Permanent was the word she kept arriving at. Not ending. Permanent. The crown of the Vael bloodline was a physical object smaller than she'd expected, old metal worn smooth by time, carrying nothing theatrical. Seren placed it on Caspian's head with the precise care of someone who had done this for three hundred years and understood that the object was less significant than the moment. He became, in that moment, what he had been becoming for a very long time. She watched it happen.

I looked up and froze. "Sam? Sam Mitchell?" "Zoe!" My childhood friend, Zoe Cameron, laughed and pushed her glasses up on her nose. She pulled out her equipment and started examining me. When she saw the damage down below, she couldn't help but gasp. "Sam, that's pretty bad. But your tubes aren't completely necrotic yet. Leave it to me. There might still be a sliver of hope." I quickly pulled my pants back on and subtly wiped the cold sweat from my forehead.

“There are convergences. Old sanctums. Places where belief thins the veil.” He studied me for a long moment. Then nodded once. “Three.” “Which one called to me,” I asked, “the night in the ruins?” Azrael smiled grimly. “The Hollow Crown.” Kael swore viciously. “Tell me,” I said. “It’s where the first Vessel failed,” Kyren said quietly. “Where the Devourer learned patience.” My stomach flipped. “And where,” Matto added, “every previous attempt to destroy its influence has ended in mass death.”

No, it couldn’t be… The large beast flapped its serpentine wings above her head as it came in for a landing. It’s scales took on the color of honey, shining like mirrors in the sun, and it landed with the grace of a blue heron, as it’s onyx talons clacked against the concrete patio. Madchen gasped as the beast shook it’s shiny scales, and sitting atop its head were two beautiful black horns. Ruby eyes blinked in the morning mist, eyes that looked vaguely familiar to her.

CRACK-THWACK. Chunks of white bone flew into the air. The heavy rounds punched through their chests, shattering their torsos. The front line of the Hollow Men fell. They didn't scream. They just collapsed into piles of dry, rattling debris. "It works!" Kai shouted. "Kinetic damage! Keep pouring it on!" But they didn't stop. The second row stepped over the shattered remains of the first. And the third. And the fourth. There were thousands of them, emerging from the woods like a white tide. And they were fast. Once the initial volley ended, they broke into a run. It wasn't a human run. It was a scuttling, spider-like sprint, limbs moving at unnatural angles. "Brace!" Damian roared. They hit ou
