Emily's POV “What happened next?!” I was too excited for her to be cutting the story short, but I understood that she had to fetch some hair oils. I loved hair oils more than I love butters or creams. They were less sticky or greasy, and I love the way they melted. Rayvn applied the oil and massaged my hair till they sunk in. I looked like a whole new person.

When I looked in the mirror, I remembered Kai's initial comment about my hair, that it looks best when it's free and not tied back. I grin.
