As soon as I rounded the corner, I found Aunt Ava standing at the office door with her hands on her hips.
The moment she spotted me, a smile crept onto her face. "Oh, look who's here! Lucius!" she chirped. "Come on in and take a seat. Don't just stand out there in the hallway!"
I stopped in front of her and got straight to the point. "Aunt Ava, the payment is now three months overdue. Please settle it."
She froze for a moment. "Oh dear, what's the rush?" she reached out to grasp my arm. "Here, sit down and have some water first. Why are you talking about money with your family? It can really strain relationships, don't you think?"
