Didn’t I tell you to stay hidden?” The girl blinked innocently. “Mom, my bank card was frozen, and you didn’t answer my calls. I wanted to go to the bar, so I had to find my own money in the basement.” Upon investigation, the trial team discovered this girl was my twin sister! Even more shocking was that my mom actually had two uteruses. Children born from two uteruses are extremely similar in every way.

“Every step of the way.” Hope crashed into them both, crying and laughing at once. “Mama! Your moon is brighter now!” Luna looked up. Her own small moon in the sky pulsed brighter than before. Big and low and way too bright, like somebody turned the brightness all the way up on the sky and walked off. It came down through the trees in white patches. Made everything look like it was moving even though there was no wind. Rain had just stopped. Everything dripped. The path was mud and wet leaves and her sneakers were soaked through inside a minute. She walked fast. Head down. Phone out, flashlight on, the little circle bouncing in front of her feet.

Lily. Liam didn’t even think about his feet or his legs or anything as he pumped himself, pushing his muscles to run to her as if he was trying to make a touchdown. He was screaming for her, begging for her to come to him, but she wasn’t moving. She was bleeding from her neck, and was incredibly pale. When Liam took her into his arms, she was cold. The blue in her eyes was disappearing. “Lily, oh my Lily,” Liam cried. “No no no, look at me baby. Baby look at me. Please, please,” He begged her. He begged her with everything in his belief system. He took a deep breath and sighed. Maddie tossed and turned but she couldn’t escape her thoughts. In the end, she chose to go out on the balcony to get some fresh air. She hugged herself as it is now twice as cold since it is late at night. Maddie sighed before looking up. For a second, she was mesmerised by the beauty of the moons which had become one. The girl resembed the moon goddess that cursed her and the girl's face sent the beast into a frenzy.
