He has vessels there; more vessels than you know about. You can’t trust anybody. I fear that even if you do leave this underworld, you are still in grave danger.”

***Xander's POV*** Having made up my mind to sacrifice myself for the safety of my pack I ventured to Alpha Dominique's pack with all determination. While I drove down to the pack, I made sure there were no weapons with me because I know Alpha Dominique, and that is the fact that he respects sincerity. I'm certain that when he sees my sincerity, he would surely grant me that which I seek. That is what I wish, and I hope he would actually grant me that which I truly seek from him.

He was trying to get on my nerves, purposely or not, and he was succeeding. I smirked. "Don't think that I do not know that." I gained momentum and pushed him backwards. Taken unawares, he stumbled backwards and almost landed on his butt, "A guy like Skye Walker who goes after anything with a V and never actually committing. You're a legend." He looked at me with raised brows, s-ss-sory?" He stammered. That must have hit hard. I grinned, reveling in the moment. "Don't gamble on your luck yet, you were just a hormonal experiment." I told him, grinning.

"You had to have known that going on the run would have put everyone in danger." "I did." He nodded. "My plan was to get them out of state and hopefully to a pack that could help. Some of the packs in Colorado have healers or connections to witches. I couldn't be sure, but my hope was one of them would know what to do." Lucas did speak immediately. His eyes were transfixed on Omar but nothing on his face gave away what he was thinking or feeling. Omar had met plenty of Alphas in his brief time on earth but none of them set him on edge quite like Lucas Wolfe. He was cold and calculating with perfect precision. Yet his rage was as hot as magma, scorching and destroying everything in its path.

After we finished Round Two in the elevator, Xander and I headed to my place to shower and had Round 3. One thing about wolf-shifters, they have stamina. "Are you sure you're not too tired to go tonight?" Xander asked, wrapping a white towel around his thin, muscular waist. I chuckled. "So, is that what this sexcapade was all about this afternoon? To tire me out so I wouldn't want to go tonight?" He shrugged, giving me a sexy smile as he pressed his lips to mine. "No. Not at all. You are just a hard woman to resist," he breathed against my lips and then gave me one last sweet kiss. "I'll see you in a minute."

I know my capabilities and yet, someone died. I gently let go of Quinn’s body and let my body shiver. With my hands now covering my face, I let out a silent cry for a friend who never left my side until the end. “Did you see the one who did this?” I asked Rendall as I am looking around the forest. “I saw it ran,” Rendall slowly replied. “Where?” “Domlur.” I move my gaze to the path going to Domlur. I suddenly felt the urge to slash everything on my way, my eyes never felt clearer and my hatred for these werewolves becomes greater.

Looking back now, she was so happy Hollis refused to fuck in the shower only a handful of hours prior.
