The Last Thunder

The Last Thunder

After this second serving was done, the fairy floated to the table to put the cup. Jai’s eyes followed the fairy, and he looked around the room again. There was a wooden table around three meters to his left with teapot and cups, also made of wood. This was where the orange fairy had put the cup back. There was a big wooden chair with intricate design beside the table which Jai figured must’ve belong to Waji. There were also seven small stumps around the room which he didn’t know for what. They looked like they’re moveable though. Also, shelves and racks decorated across the room, just further from the table.

Lonely Dove

Lonely Dove

Every time he looked at the bare tables in the Dry Bean h felt a failure. Instead of having tablecloths, the tables were so rough you could get a splinter just running your hand ove them. Also, they weren’t attractively round, since the cowboys could not be prevented from whittling on thei edges—over the years sizable chunks had been whittled off, giving most of the tables an unbalanced look He himself had a linen tablecloth which he brought out once a year, on the anniversary of the death of his wife. The Wolf's Claim

The Wolf's Claim

Lana's P.O.V. The dark mahogany wood of the large brown table was particularly interesting. The lines and swirls of the knots in the polished wood were a lot less intimidating than the wolves surrounding it. I had never seen so many large men and women in such a confining space.

Wonderings

Wonderings

I ordered a mocha frappe for her and latte for me. “I wonder why no one else is here today. It’s a Sunday; shouldn’t this café be brimming with customers?” She asked. I laughed nervously. I hope she doesn’t find out. “Maybe we’re just lucky.” I said. She looked at me and giggled. “Maybe you’re right.” She drank her frappe and went back to the playpen. I sat at the table observing her. I noticed that she was staring at me. I looked at her with an eyebrow raised. She motioned for me to come to her. I took off my shoes and went inside the playpen. She held out her hand for me and I took it. I sat down next to her and all the pugs rushed towards me.

His Distant Human Mate

His Distant Human Mate

He grew up in a pack where shifting in front of one another normally and when you shift back you don’t have clothes that automatically cover you. "How about we eat?" Arden asked. Aurora nodded and walked over to the table that sat in the center of the room. It was a round table with four chairs placed around it. It was a dark wood as well with a black lantern and candle placed in the center. The place mats were a black material as well.

Each table was as long and wide as a bus and scattered with various personal belongings. The kid was the only one of the group who bought something. He had an envelope of photos placed before him, with a few extra he was passing to the others. Fox and the kid described the story behind them to Cosmo who chuckled and commented on every one. His Creations didn’t seem bothered with the others being so close to him; four of them distancing themselves at varying places around the trio. One stood at the end of the table they were on, another was hanging around the stairs to the right, one was lingering around the windows, and the last was wandering the grounds near the tables in the centre of the

Claimed by the Alpha King's Enemy

Claimed by the Alpha King's Enemy

*Chapter 89* The Table* *Word count: ∼1845~words* Day 561 began with a table. Not a stone slab for war councils. Not a log for dividing kills. A real table, built from joint timber, wide enough for twelve wolves to sit without elbowing each other. It sat in the neutral field between Red Fang and River Claw, under a canopy the council had raised in six days. Luna ran her hand over the wood. Still rough. Still smelling of sap and river water.

Werewolves tend to have a high tolerance for alcohol and need near a bath full to get drunk. In between the dance floor and bar, many large circular tables are scattered around the room covered in tablecloths, ready for them to be laid with glasses, cutlery and other things that were needed for the night. Large empty vases have been placed in the centres of every table ready to be filled with the masses of flowers and lights that are currently getting prepared for tomorrows event. And here I am, in charge of the decorating and standing here daydreaming, looking like a right tit with my fingers still held to my keen lips.

Turning the Tables on Life

Turning the Tables on Life

One night, I dropped Wanda home after a dinner party. Lila gave me a glass of milk to help with the liquor. I enjoyed the night breeze while standing on the balcony. Lila's face was shrouded in shadows, and her voice was soft as she said, "All of you treat me like a fool." I turned to look at her.

Echoes of Ruin

Echoes of Ruin

And it wasn’t over. I pivoted toward one of the round tables near the rear of the room, a low-hanging centerpiece half upended over the tablecloth. Candlelight from the piece flickered and danced against the walls. I saw the flame move. A glint underneath the silver-trimmed base. Something inhuman. Decorative but not quite. I didn’t hesitate. I skirted around the velvet runner and yanked the centerpiece aside with one hand. And dropped my stomach. Etched into the table itself in red chalk and burnt black ink was a charm circle.
