My eyes scanned the environment meticulously, making sure that nothing was missing because this war was an opportunity for me to finally take out Damon, to destroy him and his allies, and take back what was rightfully mine. A few minutes after the soldiers from my pack took their positions, the warriors from Moonblood Pack appeared, yelling loudly with their heavy weapons swaying in the air. There were a lot of them, even larger than my own army but I wasn’t fazed thanks to the information Beta Connor had provided us with. "Archers! Now!" Kade gave the signal and his commands were carried out. The first set of warriors from Moonblood, about a hundred of them, were shot down dead.

The man’s lips curled into a smile. “Red Moon.” The name rang a bell immediately. I knew who the man was immediately. Warren Black. The Alpha and Supreme Commander of Red Moon Pack. He was known across most packs for his ruthlessness and his brutality in destroying his rivals. When packs prayed to the moon goddess for prosperity, they also prayed to her to never cross Warren or the rest of Red Moon. I couldn’t believe it. He was standing right in front of me. His gaze flickered to me for a brief moment before he turned back to the rogue.

“Whatever this is, it’s linked to the Heartstone’s corruption. I must confront it.” A shape emerged at the edge of the fog — a twisted, wolf-like figure dragging itself across the ground. Its fur was patchy, its ribs visible, and its eyes glowed an eerie, cold blue. Luna’s breath caught. “Moon-wraiths…” Kai froze. “Impossible.
