It was naked but she saw no signs of what their gender was.
“You look like a beautiful princess,” she heard it say in its small, squeaky voice, not unlike a small child’s. She blushed at the compliment from the strange creature.
“Why thank you,” she said to it. “Who are you?”
“I have no name,” the faery answered. “We don’t use names here.”
We? There are more of them? she thought as she heard its response.
“Where are your friends?” she asked, innocently.
The faery glided above the water, circling her. She was having a hard time catching up to it as she spun in the water to watch it fly around. Then it flew to the middle of the river and floated there.
