The moment the door was shut, Lemone turned to Liam, a twinkle in his eye. “I hope you don’t mind, but there’s something personal I wanted to discuss with you. It’s about my daughter…” Clearly, Lemone had asked Lucian to fetch coffee as a ruse to get Liam alone. As a human, it would hardly be appropriate to discuss werewolf matters in front of him. Liam, however, wasn’t interested in discussing what ‘plans’ Lemone had up his sleeve for Liam and his daughter.

Evelyn's POV The repairman had barely finished fixing my water pipes before my phone buzzed with a new message from Julian. Julian: Lemon seems to hate Hermès A second later, another message arrived. It was a photo. Lemon was lying miserably on the floor near the entrance, curled tightly into herself on the edge of the rug with the expression of someone emotionally betrayed by luxury living. He was already reaching for the lemon, but he hadn't moved back yet, and Bella was very aware that Devon was three feet away and paying close attention to whatever he was supposedly reading on his phone. "Yes," she said. "Lemon." Liam cut the lemon with one clean motion and squeezed it directly into the pan, and the smell that came off it was immediate and sharp and good. He tasted it himself, right from the spoon, watching her while he did. "Better?" she asked. "Much," he said. He was not talking about the sauce and they both knew it and neither of them said anything about it. Ethan called her over at the counter twenty minutes later.

Liam whispered back, green eyes dark with lust. Adrian didn’t waste time. He turned Liam around, pressing his chest against the dusty bookshelves. He yanked Liam’s jeans and boxers down just enough, then dropped to his knees right there in the quiet library. His tongue found Liam’s hole, licking broad and wet before pushing inside with hungry strokes. The risk of someone walking by made everything sharper, more intense. Liam bit his arm to stay quiet, legs shaking as Adrian’s tongue worked him open, hot and slippery.
