Without streetlights, the woods seemed to press in on us. In two miles, turn left… Siri said. “She’s just too damn cheerful,” Will muttered. “I know, right?” I responded, hunching my shoulders. “Isn’t there a funeral Siri?” “Maybe hearses get her.” He tapped the glowing screen, clearly trying to find some less chirpy setting for Siri. I laughed. Then I felt bad for laughing. Uncle Jake was dead. Still, the laughter kept rolling out of me until I was holding my sides and hysterical. Tears rolled down my cheeks, and I sobbed and laughed at the same time. It was super weird.

I don't want anything to happen to any of you kids. Moon nodded his head and quickly wore his clothes. He scooped Ocean in his arms protectively. Ocean quickly wrapped her arms around his neck. They started walking towards Jack's Villa. They first dropped Ocean then they went back home. Ocean stepped into the house and found her Uncle Jack sitting in the living room alone. His face showed that he was worried about something. Ocean went to him, sat beside him and asked him. Ocean: Are you okay uncle Jack? Jack looked at his niece and forced a smile on his tired face.

“The cutest kid in the world, and to Elle and Jack, the best parents he could ask for.” Everyone cheered, glasses clinking, and Elle blushed, her hand on Jack’s knee. “Thanks, Claire,” she said, her voice soft. “We’re just… so happy he’s here.” Jack nodded, his arm around her, Cameron nestled against his chest. “Couldn’t do it without all of you,” he said, his voice thick. “You’re family.” Nate stood, his grin wide but his eyes serious. “To family,” he said, his hand squeezing Jane’s. “And to Cameron, who’s gonna have the best uncles and aunts around.”

A new message appeared,from an unknown number. Elias’s expression hardened instantly. The message read: Unknown: Stay away from Layla. Elias’s eyes darkened and slowly… he smiled. He couldn't imagine what gave the little boy the audacity. He ignored the message and went back to his work He shook his head slowly and muttered. “I'm your uncle,you brat.”

Jack ended the call and went back to their table where Gab is eating ice cream "Uncle, I want more." "That's your second bowl already, princess. Your mommy Elisa will kill me." Jack pinched Gab's cheek "Let's go?" "But I want more, uncle." Gab pouted "Please?" Jack chuckled "You can have mine." He then pushed his bowl of ice cream to Gab "Yehey! Thank you!" Gab gladly accepted the ice cream from her uncle "Gab, can you tell me about your family? Are they good to you?"

I pouted, embarrassed. He laughed and ushered us into the kitchen. "Nothing more will make my birthday perfect than you coming and celebrating with me. I'm happy you are here, that matters the most." He chatted before we could sing a happy birthday for him just in time Jack arrived holding a cake and maybe a dish from his restaurant. " Wow! This is the happiest birthday dad ever had, right Alison!" Jack beamed. Alison laughed. The table is full of happiness as we munch our food plus throw out some funny jokes and stories. Jack started everything and we went with the flow. The happiness in uncle Bernard's face was unexplainable. He was really happy!

He called for a driver because despite his poor decisions yesterday , he was not that stupid to drive whilst still likely drunk. Jack arrived at work just before 11am, he made his way to his office with many looks from his team. His uncle was already waiting for him , giving him a pat on the back, he shrugged away from his touch and grumbled "what the fuck do you want" David smiled sleazily and said he took care of the problem and there will be no more issues at the company.

He asked his uncle for advice and the next words he heard were words he’d never heard from an hunter before especially not one as strong as his uncle. “Whatever makes you happy.” Jack answered and Alexei’s eyes bulged in unbelief. “What?” He asked again to make sure he’d heard the man right and only when he repeated himself was Alexei sure he heard right. “You see, as great as it is getting the glory and doing everything they ask you to do in this kind of job,” Jack starts saying, “it’s also really important to make sure you’re having fun while doing it, I mean that’s my secret.” He added with a dry laugh as he proceeded to have his seat on the empty three seater chair in the living room.
