The witches screamed in fright and one by one, they ran out of the mansion into the flood waters outside. "Alpha, let's go!" My Beta pulled me outside where the water was quickly rising. My Beta shifted and sped off to the gates of the territory. I followed suit and shifted into my wolf, Malachi. As I sped off, I looked back at the mansion. The earthquake had caused it to collapse and topple down. The same with all the other homes and buildings found in the territory.

GINA’S POV I stood at the edge of the altar with my hands raised toward the darkening sky. The eclipse had begun. Above me, the moon started to slip into shadow. It was swallowed slowly by the sun’s alignment. There was silence over the world, like even the wind dared not breathe. This wasn’t an ordinary eclipse. I had made it to be something special. I would attack Elise and take her children once and for all. The world would be mine for the taking.

I gestured for her to sit. But without wasting time on formalities, she jumped straight to the topic. “Isla told me about the mandrake,” Chloe said, her eyes sharp. “It’s a key clue in both Elara’s and Betty’s deaths." She looked at me, trying to read my expression, and then her eyes shifted to the clues scattered over my desk.

“Go. Now.” Elijah and I sprinted through the forest, the sounds of battle fading behind us. My mind raced, trying to piece together everything I had learned. The Order, the eclipse, the ancient prophecies – it all seemed to be converging in this one moment. We reached the rendezvous point, a secluded cave hidden deep within the forest. Relief flooded through me, but it was short-lived. “Elijah, Emily,” Nathanial greeted us, his voice strained. “We have to move quickly. The eclipse is almost upon us, and we need to stop that ritual.”
