I bit my lip, trying to keep my composure as they studied me. “This can’t be,” he said, backing away to look for something in the bookshelf. “What? It was titled, 'Child of Stars', kind of fitting since my Dad's wolf is Starfire. My wolf chimed in with her usual pessimism, 'It won't help.'

Akira chuckled at his childlike expression, “what are we doing here?” “Does this look familiar?” He asked. She looked closely at the book and smiled, “Harry Potter?” She asked in surprise. “Yes my darling, I believe that there's a creature in this book that might have a hand in Mirabel's petrification.” Akira scoffed, “I doubt the basilisk would want to have anything to do with her.”

I plucked it from the shelf and meandered towards a set of tables, plopping my treasures down. I sat at the table and decided to start reading, starting with the year 1970.

That wouldn’t be too much, right? Stepping forward, I run my hand along the first box I find and pull open the flaps, revealing the many books that are lying inside. "Hm," I can’t stop the curiosity that begins to flare as I examine the titles. Most are clearly spell books, but there is one in particular that draws my attention. "Artes Obscurae."
