They stared at each other, and Vero could tell she wasn’t the only one freaking out right now. “You know what?” said the librarian. “I will close the library now, so hurry back to your dorm.” She slammed the plastic bag onto the table and then handed out the pile of books that Vero had borrowed. “Go straight to your room and lock the door.”
