He thought: the September sea is the beginning of October. He thought: this is the last morning the sea children will look at this window.

So, this time next year, I'll be seeing you from a different beach." She looked at the sea one last time before turning around. What she saw sent chills down her back. Even through her cap, she could see a figure coming down from the yacht. It was Wyatt! She instinctively turned around. At the exact moment, Wyatt, who was coming down from the yacht, stopped in his tracks. He had an odd feeling which made him look up to see someone turning around.

I inhaled deeply not wanting to miss any part of this, I was happy I actually listened to Godfrey because this was just what I needed. For the first time in weeks, I felt like I could breathe, No walls around me. No people watching my every move, Just the sound of the sea, stretching far and endless before me.

Picking up the bottle, the sweets could wait. Removing the scrap of foil, I moved to the balcony. I twisted the metal cording, the cork came off with a loud pop. I shouldered the door open as I took a long swig from the bottle and looked out over the view. This was what I’d been waiting for. I’d never seen the ocean before, not outside of movies or television shows. Now it was real, I could smell the salty tang of the ocean, and even in the darkness the view was breathtaking. The stars and moon reflecting over the dark water. It looked like something out of a fairytale.

I tried to shout but there was no voice coming out from my mouth. Little by little, my vision became blurry. I closed my eyes for a moment. When I opened my eyes, I realized that I was no longer in the same place. I’m in a forest and at the end of it was a beautiful sea. At the sea, I saw a mermaid-like creature; it seemed happy. Talking to that mermaid was a young boy that looked exactly like me. He looks handsome like me.

When I was five, I was always excited whenever it was time for bed. My Grandma Momma will cook our dinner. Let me brush my teeth and comb my long hair. And after that, she will put me into bed and bedtime stories will follow. She told me a lot of fantasy stories, but my favorite was the pirate of the Lost Sea named Escarial.
