Blood. So much blood. I can't see it but I can smell it. The smell of blood is so intense, it causes nausea to roll through my system. I don't know where I am but I can tell that this place is a small, enclosed space with no source of illumination. As I reach out in front of me, my fingers brush the cold brick wall. I repeat the same action behind me and the same thing happens. Panic slowly starts to set in and my breathing speeds up.

Suddenly, my head turned towards the door when my nose caught an unfamiliar scent coming just outside the door. Adrenaline coursed through me as I braced myself for whatever was going to happen next. This scent. Its smell was like that of a rotten carcass, forcing me to raise my hands in front of my face so I could pinch my nose quickly before the unpleasant smell fills my nose. Because if that happens, I might not be able to allow myself to breathe anymore unless the scent completely dissipates in the air.

NOAH'S POV Before I even opened my eyes, I smelled the metallic tang of blood; the smell was strong and filled my senses with a dreadful urgency. My body felt like lead, my head pounded with every heartbeat, and I was throbbing with sickness, yet the smell woke me up. Something was not right. The sickness had dimmed my senses, but there was something unique about the scent. The smell, that indisputable scent, lifted me out of the fog of misery even though the illness was weighing me down. It was the blood of Ciara.

Like it was seeping in from the outside. It turned out to be blood. My nostrils became so sensitive and the smell of it became so strong. "Argh." I had to grunt as I tightly held my nostrils together, guarding them against the smell. Where was it coming from though? I looked around the non-spacious elevator but there was nothing. Then I looked down again and saw nothing. The blood that was just there was gone, like it had been wiped away or something. The extreme cold I felt too was gone!

I had to do something because my brain was going to explode. I flared my nose and there it was, his scent, I clenched my fists since I could feel that he was not alone, his scent was corrupted with someone else's. I walked to the direction where it was coming from, my eyes were burning red and I clenched my teeth until I tasted blood.

Helen rushed to get her best friend's blood pressure suppressing drugs. She dashed into the kitchen, got a glass cup of water and ran to her. Her best friend swallowed the drugs and gulped down the water. Helen sat beside her and made her best friend lay her head on her laps, rubbing her hair and tummy at intervals. "So high blood pressure can cause nose bleeding? I never heard of that." "The thing is, nose bleeding isn't really a symptom of high blood pressure." She explained. "But when you were bleeding from the nose, you told me to get you your blood pressure suppressing drugs that your blood pressure has increased. I don't understand what you are saying." Helen shifted a bit from her.

He asked and placed a paper towel under my nose—that’s when I noticed that my nose is bleeding. Holy shit, that thing scared the heck out of me. What the hell was that? “Are you alright?” He worriedly asked and I nodded, slowly while holding the paper towel to my nose. “I’m okay. I just had a nightmare.” “You we’re awake!” “Well maybe I fell asleep in a sudden, I don’t know. This is probably because of the disease.” I said and pulled a few more paper towels, dabbing my nose with it until cleaned thoroughly. “We should go back to the hospital—“

*Ana* “Why-” The breath is knocked out of me as I look at my stained fingers. The red color is spreading thinly over my hands as I stare on. Why is there blood? I touch my nose again to find more- it’s bleeding. Am I having a nosebleed? But that can’t be possible- Vampires don’t unless- Mykhol! I look up to my cousin for answers, but his hands freeze in place. His face is pale. He looks as lost as I am.

No way. My nose flared and dear goddess I was losing it. There was no way, was there? There was the metallic smell of blood, too much of it and bad odor that had me nearly vomit but even with all that I would never not be able to smell him. I nearly cried I promise you. My chest tightening with me quick to throw the covers off me. Was I dreaming for the first time in my life? It felt like it. My head tipped down, seeing the foot prints with mud and blood, a lot of blood than I would like.

Disgusting. I get up and grab a napkin, and put it to my nose. I pull it away, crumbling the red substance into the napkin. Red? I look back down at the napkin, realizing that it’s blood and not snot. I start coughing, bringing the napkin back up to my mouth. I pull it back and find more blood on the napkin. My heart starts to pound as I realize blood is coming out of my mouth. I throw the napkin away and get a new one. Holding it to my mouth and nose.
