Once His Wallflower, Now His Biggest Mistake

Once His Wallflower, Now His Biggest Mistake

"But catching a falling oak mass with a single, extended limb? That’s bone density. That’s a calcification level that shouldn't exist in nature." "I am just a healthy woman, Señor Julian," I said, backing away toward the door. "Good soup. Lots of walking." "I’d love to see an X-ray of your radius and ulna," Julian mused, his eyes wide behind his spectacles. He looked like a man who had just discovered a new element. "The way the force was distributed through your shoulder... your deltoid didn't even twitch. It’s like you’re made of reinforced concrete." "I must go check the children! The soup! The laundry!" I blurted out, turning on my heel and shuffling out of the library as fast as my skir

Lilith III

Lilith III

Stefan grumbled, knocking the object with his knuckles, “It's a parietal bone, it's one of two located in the skull, it helps to form the roof of the cranium,” Lilith inspected it closely, “The real question is... Where is the other piece?” Stefan mumbled. “Guys—” I whimpered, swinging the torch from side to side, “if we don't leave right now, it's our skull next they are going to use as a dipper,” Gushing out of nowhere, a strong wind blew over us, putting out the flame,

The Exiled Princess

The Exiled Princess

Earth winter was evil. Not dramatic, majestic, High Realm winter with glittering frost and dignified storms. No. Earth winter attacked the bones. It crawled into the joints. It seeped into the spine. It gnawed at the edges of the soul like a cold, petty gremlin. I marched into the pack kitchen shivering so hard my teeth clicked. Several wolves glanced up from their cooking, eyes widening as I wrapped myself tighter in my white coat. “This realm,” I announced loudly, “is trying to freeze me alive.”

The Kings Omega

The Kings Omega

The journey north was a descent into a winter that had no right to exist. The land, which should have been shaking off the last vestiges of spring's thaw, was locked in a premature, unnatural frost. The air was still and heavy, carrying not the scent of pine and earth, but the sharp, metallic tang of sorcery. It was a cold that seeped into the bones, a chill that no fire could truly chase away, a physical manifestation of the Ashen Paw's advance.

Fragments of the Winter Moon

Fragments of the Winter Moon

“What is?” Victoria gestured vaguely toward the Winters family. “You people.” “That narrows it down.” “The whole winter immunity thing,” she continued. “Meanwhile, Silas and I are over here pretending we’re not freezing to death while the rest of you apparently belong in snowstorms.” Silas, sitting near the cave entrance after shifting back, looked entirely unimpressed. “You complain when it’s warm too.” “That is unrelated.” Calix crossed his arms loosely. “You were complaining before we even left.”

No Winter Waits Forever

No Winter Waits Forever

Marissa was about to flare up, but I pointed at Kyle's neck and said coldly, "Marissa Langley, what right did you have to give Nora's protection pendant to someone else?" Marissa's expression changed, and the words stuck in her throat. That pendant had been made from a family heirloom of mine. My daughter had worn it since birth, for fifteen full years. "It's just an object," Marissa said coldly. "Kyle kept catching little colds around that time, so I gave it to him for protection. "Owen Duncan, why do you always have to fixate on these tiny things?" I slowly lowered my hand. Little colds. Tiny things.

Fated To My Lycan Brother

Fated To My Lycan Brother

But I didn't think Winter would do that. "I won't get hurt," Winter said. "I am immune to most diseases, and you should know the birthmark on my collarbone isn't just for nothing." I glanced at her collarbone as she yanked her blouse down. It was as if I was seeing the crescent moon-shaped mark for the first time, even though I had seen it countless times. It glowed as I glared at it. Walking towards Winter, I gripped her shoulder. "Promise me you'll leave the infirmary if you feel funny. If you..."

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

Soon, he found that these three long things were bones. On the surface of each bone, a few words were engraved. The lustrous white bone was the Bone of Wind, the fiery red one was the Bone of Flame, and the ice-blue was the Bone of Thunder. When he got close to the Bone of Wind, Caspian immediately felt a gust of strong wind blowing on him. When he got close to the Bone of Flame, Caspian immediately felt the high temperature as if it was magma, which made his skin burn. Then, Caspian's eyes lit up when he approached the Bone of Thunder.

Even if i still read it, this book stopped being interesting after Grand pure emperor was killed...(that is ch. 2200 maybe) It is like realms are only introduced after he reaches a peak of the previous. There is nothing special about these realms and there is nothing special about the book anymore.

The Reaver Chronicles: Raphael (Book 2)

The Reaver Chronicles: Raphael (Book 2)

My bones ached with a dull, numbing pain, as if the cold had taken up residence within my marrow, refusing to be dislodged. The sensation was akin to frostbite, a creeping, tingling numbness that spread from my extremities, threatening to engulf my entire being. I felt like I was being slowly frozen from the inside out, my vital energies dwindling with each passing moment, as the cold wrapped its icy fingers around my heart. My gaze snapped towards Ramses and Rowen, and I was taken aback by the sight of them standing frozen, their eyes fixed on some point beyond my shoulder. The Risen, those relentless and fearless warriors, were backing away in terror, their eyes wide with a primal fear.
