Despised by my Alpha mates, Claimed by their foe!

Despised by my Alpha mates, Claimed by their foe!

No other choice but to go through the book. On opening it, she found it was written in a language that she didn't completely understand. It was a language spoken by werewolves in the past to prevent others from knowing what they were talking about. It was rumoured that all Alphas and their subordinates, including the pack elders, are fluent in this language and very important meetings are even held in this language. In her case, she was friends with the Alpha's daughter in her former pack, Liliana. The latter had shown a book similar to this one to her when she was younger and even taught her the basics of that language.

The cursed mate's return

The cursed mate's return

His eyes were hollow but when he looked at the scroll, they filled with recognition. “I know that language,” he said. “It’s the Celestial Tongue.” Finnick stood still “Impossible. That language is extinct, lost.” “Not lost,” the man said, kneeling. “ it's Buried, Hidden. It’s the tongue of the Watchers. The speech of judgment. It’s what they use to bind fate into flesh.” My blood turned to ice. “And what does it mean,” I asked slowly, “if a child speaks it?” The man looked at me with something like pity… and something worse.

Rejected By Alpha, Chased By Lycan King

Rejected By Alpha, Chased By Lycan King

Deborah's eyes shifted from Lucas to me and then rested on the door, "You must not speak and interrupt me during the chanting." Stepping toward the door, Deborah lifted her palm and neared it to the lock. Without touching, she hovered her palm over the lock while whispering something under her breath. The magical spells were written in the language only known to the witches. That ancient language was unable to be learned or understood by any other creature even though they tried hard to. Still enchanting the spell, Deborah raised her other arm. I glimpsed at the black, shiny, and sharp nails poking out of her fingertips. Closing her eyes, she used her index fingernail and slashed open the pa

Blood Bound Luna

Blood Bound Luna

They glared at each other, the bond crackling between them with enough tension to light the entire fortress. Dorian was quiet for a long moment. Then, reluctantly: “You need to start with the basics. Curse theory, blood magic fundamentals. Most of what’s in these journals is speculation and grief. The real information is in the grimoires, but they’re…” He hesitated. “Difficult.” “Difficult how?” “They’re written in Old Tongue the language of the first witches. And they’re protected. You can’t just read them. You have to… negotiate.”

“You know in this land there are far more creatures than you ever guessed. You’ve been very sheltered in Drimidan.” “I guess I have.” I admitted softly. I wasn’t even sure my parents knew of all the things out there. “There was a time, long ago when the land was predominantly Fey.” “But as Fey darkened some lost their power and became human. Others became twisted and their power darkened to make them other things.” “Like Mathis?” She nodded. “They become what we know as demonic. Or what the people of Drimidan might call a witch or warlock.” I blinked slowly. I’d heard of such things, but they were spoken of in tales that I’d thought were only designed to frighten children.

Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)

Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)

As my story has developed, I have added in a Fae language. Since the story lines follow ancient Greek gods and goddesses, I have used ancient Greek for the Fae language and Latin for witch's spells. I might as well put all those high school Latin lessons to use. Truth be told, I love languages, especially my own native language, Māori. I did think of adding that into the story line as the Fae language, but I didn't think it fitted as well as Ancient Greek.

Reincarnated Lord

Reincarnated Lord

It is said that these guides were left over from the period of enchantment and had been planned by the magi during their movements around the landmass. The language utilized on the landmass was known as the normal language. All individuals on the landmass communicated in that language and no elective vernaculars had at any point created. The content looked like letters in order and were contained 32 characters which could be framed into words by placing a few characters into a precious stone like shape. In the books, it was said that this language had been created by the magi extraordinarily for the people's utilization. The magi additionally knew a few different dialects of different races

Tone cautious. “No…No, I meant…I don’t know where the parchment went. I swear it was just here!” My voice cracks. “That language is known only to the enchanted. Witches. Wizards. Healers. Werewolves. Vampires. How does a human speak it so fluently?” He stares at me like I’m some creature dragged out of myth. “I don’t know, Gerald! It just…came out. Why are you making this such a big deal?” I snap, shoving out of bed and yanking on my robe. I try to storm past him, but his hand closes around my wrist, pulling me back against his chest.

Mated to the Alpha Knight

Mated to the Alpha Knight

"What do you mean? Can you translate it?" "No," Chelsa's eyes moved to Ostana. "This language is far too old, too complicated - whoever is writing this must have had a witch or something on their side. See," Chelsa moved to the couch, spreading the papers out on the glass coffee table as Ostana leaned forward; I sat down on the floor, resting my elbow on the coffee table. "Witches, before they went extinct, held their own mother language, it was called 'The Tongue of the Devil' which is how they casted spells." "Witches are real?" Ostana asked, gold seeping into her honey eyes. "Like no joke?"

Good story but some events that occurred had no impact on the story and I wondered why they were included unless it’s revealed in the next book, e.g., the Truth Lake 🤷🏻‍♀️ when she got bitten by the snake in the lake, what did that all mean🤷🏻‍♀️ Mind I did skim read a lot of it so could have mis
