Without another word, the five witches accompanying them, Letira and Corvus, stepped forward. "We require an undisturbed area," Letira, the leader of the witches announced. Novak gestured towards a clearing a few paces away. "Let's give them some space." They moved swiftly, while Letira lay down intricate patterns of woven branches and leaves. Corvus, her assistant, produced a small pouch and began chanting a low, guttural melody, the other three witches chanting along with her. Minutes turned into a tense silence broken only by the soft murmur of the witches' chants. Letira's hands moved with practiced ease, sprinkling a fine, iridescent powder over the woven pattern.

The massive screen behind the main stage suddenly went black. The noisy crowd fell silent. Every werewolf in the hall lifted their gazes toward the platform. Drew snarled at me. "Freya, what are you playing at now?" I ignored him. The screen lit up again. A dimly lit healer's den appeared. Lisa stood in the center of the room. A werewolf was kneeling at her feet. They moved Barbara's body from the Healing Room outside of the base. Not far from the base, there is a cave mouth that is not that big. Thirteen witches and several other people involved, including Barbara, entered the cave. The place led to the underground cave. They had to pass sixty-six slippery steps and struggled not to slip over it. The thirteen witches who led the way looked like strange shadows beneath their black batik robes, while the others were wearing only suits and such, although they were both black colored. The two men behind the thirteen witches looked extremely cautious as they descended the stairs with the open coffin slung over their shoulders.

“You will never find your way out if you ascend the stairs.” “How will we find Willow?” I ask as we walk toward the tower. “Willow will find us,” Petra says coolly. The four witches stand with their shoulders touching as they approach the tower. Each one of them is mumbling something under their breath, but it isn't the same thing. They stop just shy of the front door, seemingly unable to go any farther. They clasp hands with one another, creating a circle. Their wild chants become louder and more fierce the longer they hold hands.

Streams crept out of the ground, wrapping women's feet, and others formed out of nowhere, as if arriving with a breath of wind, lifting and holding golden strands in the air. “This place suits us,” the witch said in a voice that was not her own. Low, vibrating, in every sound of which there was power. “Take it,” she ordered. She followed the steps in silence. She drew a magic circle using small grains, arranged the candles, and finally said: “You should be the one to set them on fire. The witch no longer walked: she moved above the ground. Taking the hand, Mila led the demon in a circle, the candles flared up one after another, painting the clearing with raging shadows.

“May the Goddess empower! May our power devour!” They hovered high in the air. Black smoke rose from the ground, swirling out and then shaping into black misty wolf creatures. “May the shadows rise. May the shadows be their demise.” His pack jumped in the air and tried to snap at the witches, but they kept missing. “Devour them!” The witches rose higher out of their reach. “Devour them now!” Just when he wasn’t sure what they should do to get them down. A broom twirled over him and slammed the first witch in her head. She fell from the air, screaming.
