His chest heaved under the witches black boot. " He is unconscious." The witch pointed. " That doesn't count. It's a duel. Which means only one person will be left alive . You want to take me to my death yet you are afraid to kill." Ella baited her. " You think I'm not a killed. Just watch me !" The witch took her leg off his chest and knelt down beside him. She raised her arm in the air ready to strike him in the throat, when he rolled away. "Not that easy witch." The goblin jumped up onto his feet and began to charge towards her.

Moss was the bigger of the two, the more muscular, while Deere was smaller. "Let the duel begin," Denzel yelled. The two werewolves started to circle one another, carefully assessing each other's strength. This wasn't just a brawl like the one at the mansion after an argument over who would be the beta. This was the actual trial, where the victor would advance to the next level, and the defeated would forfeit their life.

After putting up a more extended fight than the previous two Witchers, Jess fell to the ground, defeated. Then, to my surprise, Susan entered the arena. She was my mentor in dark magic. It felt odd to face her in combat, but I had a responsibility. However, before the duel could begin, Susan placed her sword on the ground, signaling her forfeit. "I don't wish to fight. I believe my mate, Jennifer, is the rightful candidate," she announced to the crowd. "I only entered because you asked me to, Leia. But I will challenge you if Jennifer doesn't win this match." She looked to me for acknowledgment, and I nodded in agreement, seeing her grateful smile in return. Jennifer stepped into the arena.

A heavy silence fell over the room as everyone waited. “The game for the second round of the Rank Duel Challenge,” he began, his voice tense, “is Alpha Oleg Zakharov’s Trial.”

"Great. Let's use the dimensional portal spell and stay at home with your wife. You have to stay alert. Make a magic shield around your house while waiting for my arrival. I sense danger in this place. I will catch up with you after I'm done taking care of the problem in this messy place." "Are you sure you can take care of it alone?" "I'm a dragon. Don't underestimate my magic power, even though I don't have my jewel." "If you say so, I won't be on your way. Be careful," Hugo said, casting a dimensional portal spell that disappeared from his sight as he rushed to find Mitchell. ***

The elders stood nearby as Elder Eldric raised his staff, his voice turning grim. “This Honor Duel will decide Lady Mira and her pup’s fate,” he growled in a heavy tone. “No weapons, only strength and will. The victor’s word is final. Begin!” The crowd hushed and my heart pounded as both Alpha Kieran and Kyden began walking in a circle at a steady pace. They both were growling lowly, keeping their eyes locked on each other. Kieran moved first, lunging with a swift strike and his fist grazed Kyden’s jaw. Kyden dodged the attack effortlessly, his voice turning into a snarl.

ARIA One by one the names are called on the stage for a duel. Most of them transformed into wolves and fought as if there was no tomorrow. Lozark was enjoying every bit of the bloodbath. The duel was limited to males. Jay Manchester’s name was announced against Prince Aylestone. As the two stand on the stage, silence falls heavily over the crowd. Strangely, Prince glances at me before ripping off his shirt from his body, revealing his claws.

Coralis pushed herself on her elbows and Vectan, crouched next to her, gave her the vial of mighty monster juice. “Considering that Blue Thunder, who is Audrey Hudson’s elemental guardian, agreed to it,” continued High Mage Finnas, standing in the middle of the circle, “the agreed terms will stand and we will overlook that particular infraction to our laws. In the traditional duel between Blue Thunder and Dwayne Glozo, Blue Thunder is the victor. Therefore, Audrey Hudson is to be immediately returned to her mother.”

“Ailina, unexpectedly, you are Lucifer. I admit that I can’t beat you, but I am an artist from Miss White’s Company. If you screw up the event today, you will feel sorry for Miss White. You have to lose in this game.” She replied. “OK.” Seeing Ailina’s reply, I relaxed. I had an ironic smile on my face. ‘No matter how well you operate in the game, you have to lose me today.’ I stood up and suggested, “Let’s not choose to PK. How about a duel?”

“The two ladies duel and the victor earns the right to court the lord.” I stared. “Excuse me?” “The duel may be fought with swords, magic or bare hands, depending on the families involved.” Someone near the front raised her hand. “And if the lord already has someone?” Lady Vesper nodded as though she’d been waiting for the question. “If the lord already keeps a lady under his protection, she may also be challenged.” Silence then “The winner keeps the lord.” I slowly turned toward Sera. “You’re joking.” “I wish I were.”
