Groaning, I scooted over broken glass, ignoring the cuts I received from it. My vision was going in and out, but I knew I couldn’t pass out. Crawling out of the car through the broken window, I winced when my leg scrapped across broken metal. Finally, out of the car, I tried to stand up, but my leg hurt too much, causing my vision to blur. When I realized that I was going to pass out, I looked around and saw someone walking toward me. Blinking a few times, my vision cleared just enough to see Arric approaching. No longer able to hold on, my eyelids slowly closed as my head fell onto my stretched-out arm.

As I opened my eyes, I realized I was in a motel room. I was all alone on the bed I was so sore I had a hard time moving. I could feel blood coming from the top of my head, I glanced across the room and I heard the shower running. I stood up with all my force, I fell right down to the ground as I noticed my leg was broken.

I gape at it for a minute making my head ache slightly at the brightness of the room, feeling the wall to my side I feel the light adjuster so I dim the room a bit. I walk towards the mirror and gasp at the woman staring back at me. My hair looks like it's been attacked by birds, small cut near the hairline. I run my hand through the mess to tame it a bit but wince when I touch a sensitive spot at the back, covered by a cloth material. I look at my hand and sigh in relief when no blood is seen, my eyes have purplish and yellowish bruises around them. My bottom lip is burst, covered in flakes of dry blood.

I opened my heavy eyelids and immediately closed them as the dazzling harsh light pierced my eyes. I felt disoriented and it took a lot of strength to open my eyelids once again. I flickered for a few seconds to accommodate the light, causing my unclear sight to melt into transparency and the first thing I saw was the white ceiling. I looked to my side to see a clear fluid-filled sac attached to a venous connection in my right arm. I groaned in pain as I sat up on the bed. My body was sore, each and every muscle in my body was severely aching.

The glass suddenly blew up into my face. "What? How did that happen?" Henry asked. He gently laid her on the bed and pushed her hands away from her face. Horror widened his eyes as he saw the damage done to her face. "Goddess above." He whispered. Aurora's eyes were embedded with tiny pieces of glass shards. There were numerous tiny cuts all over her face and blood dripped from the side of her mouth. "Henry I can't see." She said suddenly. "I can't see a thing. What's happening to my eyes?"

Tony Rico nodded. Though he hadn't checked the date, it seemed about three days had passed. Eugene got up from the bed where he had been lying for days and went to the bathroom. When he stood in front of the mirror to undress for a shower, Eugene was finally able to see his condition. And he immediately understood why his mother had been so shocked and tearful. Eugene's eyes were bloodshot. The doctor had mentioned petechial hemorrhaging—apparently the blood vessels in his eyes had burst when he was being strangled. And his neck was covered entirely with dark bruises.

“Your hand.” I blinked in confusion and followed her gaze, only now remembering the deep red swelling across the back of my hand and along my forearm. The spot where the bottle had shattered against me. I flexed my fingers experimentally, wincing at the dull, aching pain that pulsed through my skin. There were small cuts along my wrist where the glass had grazed me, tiny droplets of dried blood barely visible under the dim lighting. “Ah, this little thing,” I muttered, more to myself than anyone else.

Chloe Slam! Something struck the side of my head, hard. My vision blurred as I staggered back, a sharp pain spreading through my skull. The sound of shattering glass rang in my ears as the vase crashed to the floor, breaking into a hundred jagged pieces. I barely registered the warm, wet sensation trickling down my forehead until I saw it—drops of red splattering against the cold tiles. Blood. I blinked, my head throbbing, before slowly looking down at the growing crimson stain on the floor.

There were several things that had happened recently that I would never have guessed at the start of this year. Having an emotional bloodbath with my childhood best friend, realizing I had romantic and lustful feelings for him, and, of course, the accident with my eyes. The combination of it all had turned this past month into hell. Physically and emotionally, I'd suffered more than ever before, and it absolutely sucked. The intense pain, constant tearing, redness, and swelling of my eyelids were all reminders of the damage caused by the shattered glass. Two surgeries, an infection, a slow recovery, and an uncooperative immune system later, here I was.

I asked looking at her while i sniffed. " Yes baby and I promise she won't get away with this. Now stop crying. We will deal with Zane later right now we need to deal with this.." she said point to my swollen eye and I chuckled hurmorlessly. " I look like death don't I?" ".well.." she just shrugged her shoulders and helped me up to the bathroom. Her shirt had blood probably coming from my broken skull and forhead. it was hurting like hell. My whole body was aching I was exhausted..
