Slowly, I turn around and find myself staring at the woman that I just denied caring about. She’s trembling. Her mouth is quivering and her face is as pale as a paper. The way how she looks at me tells me that she’s scared for her life and that’s when I notice a big muscular hand wrapped over her waist with a fucking sharp object piercing into her skin. My gaze landed on him before I saw myself seeing eye-to-eye to many wolves around us. Their eyes are not red as an alpha, not blue as the beta, not black as the ordinary wolves. But before it falls apart completely, I notice a distinct feature in every wolf surrounding me. Their eyes. Each pair glows the same color in varying hues and shades, from pale to deep. But the same, specific color. Green. When they all howl together in unison and leap at me, the vision shatters and I jolt awake instantly, sweat clinging to my skin.

I asked, my voice almost lost in the wind. He looked down, staring at me with eyes filled with dark memories. "It's so clear. It's been playing like a broken record in my head since I was a child. That wolf had a distinctive feature I couldn't possibly mistake." He paused, his jaw tightening. "It was a black wolf, with a long scar across its temple, right near its glowing green eyes." My world seemed to stop spinning. It felt like being doused with ice water in the middle of winter. A long cut across the temple... a permanent scar near its green eye...

Gosh, I had hoped to stay hidden all night so I could avoid the mauling. I glance to the side, my breath stalling at the sight of a cream-colored wolf larger than a pony sniffing the ground. Its hair isn’t straight but slightly wavy, almost as if it’s not a wild animal but someone’s pampered pet with regular visits to the pet groomer. Its big head swivels towards me, and I’m met with the most divine pair of brilliant green eyes. Everything stands still, as if the world is waiting for us to make the first move.

I should come out and fight! I took three full breaths in and out, then I came out of hiding. So there it is, standing on four legs! A large brown wolf! Above all of its dangerous traits I notice the eyes that's similar to mine. Green orbs. “W-what do you want? Are you here to kill me? I asked with my voice shaking and my knees that’s almost trying to fall down. I can’t hide the fear in my voice, but I am determined to stay and fight. No more running for me!

What if he was planining that the whole time? I exhaled and shook the thought out of my head. The look in his eyes seemed so genuine this time. Maybe he was telling the truth. However, the only way that he could be justified is if we could find the mysterious gold and green adorned wolf. I began to rack my brain. We definately didn't have any wolves with gold and green fur; that was just crazy. We had wolves with golden eyes and green eyes but not both. I was the only one that had two different coloured eyes but mine were blue and green and not gold and green.

“You’re not going anywhere little wolf, that scent… it’s driving me…” He didn’t get to finish that sentence. I’d already knocked him out cold. This evening was off to a stellar start. “Holy shit…” As I turned to face the next Neanderthal my breath caught in my throat. I was momentarily lost in the most dazzling set of emerald green eyes I had ever seen. Most wolves have an amber glow, but… these were something else entirely. “Um… miss?” he cleared his throat and caught my attention as I realised how intensely I had been staring at him.

In his wolf form, he easily towers over me with his nose a few inches over my 5'5 height. He looks intimidating and powerful, and an authoritative aura surrounds him and for a second, I want to bow to him, but then I look into his eyes and everything changes. He has the same eyes like Tyler. The greenish-gold color is unmistakable. They are the same, but at the same time, so different. This wolf's eyes hold so much love, care and compassion in them as they look at me that I feel like I am something special, something beautiful and like I mean so much to him.
