Her Twin Alphas
There were tall shelves that reached to the ceilings, filled with books and what looked like small bottles.
A woman came into my line of sight. She wore a black gown that flowed to the ground.
She also held a giant book in her hands, which she read from though her lips barely moved. She paced the floors, and the candlelight whished with her movement.
I groaned, the discomfort of the rough ropes that dug into my wrists and ankles becoming too much to ignore.
Upon hearing me, she paused and turned to me.
Her face finally came into view.
She looked aged, with deep-lined wrinkles etched into her skin. Her thin gray hair hung down her body in strands, and her eyes were so white they unnerved me.
