Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

“I’ve tried everything I know to work. None of it is having the right effect. It’s as if her body doesn’t want to heal.” “ARE YOU SAYING SHE WANTS TO DIE?!" I roar. He cowers, not because he isn't brave, but because I am a dragon. My fangs elongate as I approach, my claws thickening as they sprout from what used to be hands. Grabbing the front of his shirt, my talons easily shred the material. "HOW DARE YOU IMPLY THAT MY TREASURE WANTS TO BE ANYWHERE BUT WITH HER PRINCE!"

He wants everyone to remember that I could kill them all with a simple command from him. When he paces in front of me again, I see a glimpse of my image on his chest. Unlike the other fire dragon images where the dragon looks like they are ready to go to war for their rider, mine is tame. There is no fire. I’m not in flight. I’m merely standing on his chest, a shell of the dragon I used to be.

Caramel kicked her dragon, complying with the order as she was afraid of the consequences if she thought otherwise. Shadow clicked her tongue. “You should ask the question yourself. Why are you doing unnecessary things to me?” “This place is only for the people who inherited the blood of dragon tamer.” “Call the right title. Dragon slayer.” Caramel flinched. THUMP! The dragon landed majestically on the ground, the strong gust violated the trees around, the leaves fluttered angrily on the trees. His wings fluttered a few times, to show their strength to Shadow, boosting his ego, contrary to the scared owner.

Loras' body contracts and he lets out a groan as the salty taste fills her mouth. She smiles and gets next to him, wrapping her arms around his now relaxed body. "Woman... If I knew what that mouth could do I would have lost our little bet since before we made it." He sighs and pulls her closer in a tight cuddle. "Now will give me the answers?" She asks. "Ah yes... That's the other thing that mouth can do." "Annoy you?" "Greatly. But It's worth it." He sighs dramatically and Astrid laughs. "The dragon's fire kills everything it touches. The only exception are members of the royal bloodline. Dragon tamers."

I peer over the side of the bed, open my mouth, and let loose with a blast of fire. "Owww... fuck... stop that," he yells putting his hands up to block the flames. I tear off the shirt I'm wearing, sprint from the room, and dive over the edge of the perch. It's a few seconds before I remember to pull in the magic. But does it really matter? I thought I would give anything to be a dragon, but I would give it all back for Tahr's love. My dragon bursts free and more flames shoot from my throat.

She said as her eyes became emotionless, while Valerian and the Black Dragon froze. Zenneth sat on the nest that has two big eggs of a dragon, then she lean on Valerian's chest. "What do you mean by that? What did you saw?"The Black Dragon asked. "A bloody one." END OF CHAPTER 40

he responded, still appearing lost in his thoughts. "What are you?" I asked, my voice filled with genuine curiosity. I wanted to understand him better, to comprehend the complexities that lay beneath his seemingly ordinary surface. "You ask a lot of questions, Ava," Damon remarked, his voice laced with amusement. "You boost my curiosity," I replied with a smile. Leaning in slightly, I listened attentively as he began sharing his story. "I was born a weak dragon, but that didn't mean I was mistreated by my father or mother. They loved me either way," he explained, throwing a piece of wood into the fire. "But I hated my life, Ava. People looked down on me, made fun of me, and called me names.

Hello, everyone! This is XSkylar19. It has been a very interesting ride for me while writing Bane of the Dragons because (fun fact) this was my very first dragon genre. I know some of you probably disliked how everything turned out or how fastpaced everything happened but know that this was intentional as I couldn't drag the story on. Anyway, while this book becomes the first book for dragon genre, it certainly wasn't my first book in the fantasy genre.
