"Right. Your mom is incredibly talented, most people just don't know it yet." One of the male wolves spoke up again. "We're entering the pharmacology competition for the Silvermoon Award next month. Did you sign up?" I paused, then looked down, feeling a bit let down. "No. I haven't entered any competitions in years." "You're so good, you should enter. Today is the last day to register." My eyes instantly lit up. The Silvermoon Award was certified by the Werewolf Association and was the highest-level competition in werewolf toxicology. If I could place in this competition, it would be a massive help for my comeback in the industry.

MAFIA'S CAPTIVE

MAFIA'S CAPTIVE

she whispered, a faint, warm smile spreading across her pale lips. My grip on her hand tightened, desperation coursing through me. "No, Nana, don't talk like that," I pleaded, my voice cracking. "You'll get better, you have to." I closed my eyes and started chewing on my nails. Who will I ask for help? $5,000,000? Will it be possible? But then, something suddenly clicked in my mind. The Art competition! Someone reviewed my work online days ago and sent an invite for a competition in Milan

The Cursed Wolf Prince’s Mate

The Cursed Wolf Prince’s Mate

"To cut the story short, this pack has its advantage and disadvantage" Okay, another hint of mystery. "There are two most important advantages; you will learn new things. What I mean by that is, because different people come from different path of the world, you will get to learn new things. Most especially the market days" Sounds interesting. "Number two; every end of the month, a contest will be held and each and every one will bring out his/her skills. The one with the best skills would be rewarded." "What type of skills?" "Anyone. Be it painting, cooking, archery, or fighting. Interesting right?"

She never answered that phone call from me. That day, in the Family Expense Portal application, I wrote: "Math competition registration deadline is today. Registration fee is $500. Attached are screenshots of the registration notice and payment page." Calvin replied: "Rejected. Please explain the necessity of participating in this competition and the expected benefits." I resubmitted. "Winning or placing in this competition can help me qualify for independent university admissions. It will help with college placement." He rejected it again: "The expected benefits are not clear enough. Please quantify."

It looks like the two have something important to say. "As you all know, The Journal, an online writing site, will now expand into paperback! And as a part of our marketing, the new board decided to make a new tradition on our anniversary. It is a program that will give recognition as well as incentives as price for those who will be chosen from different writing categories. Of course, we will have judges and criteria for these,” Sir Patrick said. "It will be called The Journal's Award! And every year we have a theme. This year's theme will be…” Louise was interrupted by Sir Patrick. That goes to show how excited he is about this awards night.

After all, he was my numero uno fan. “Not really… well, kind of. My manager told me about this competition all over the States when I went to submit my draft to her, it’s about writing an original novel on any genre the writer prefers. Whoever wins—I think there will be one from each genre—will get their book published nationwide and sign a five-year contract with one of the famous publication houses.” I explained. “Ah! That’s great! You decided on what to write yet?” he asked curiously, laying his head on my lap as he did so. “I could give you—”

Very much enjoyed this story! Great dialogue, characters & storyline. Did not drag out with ridiculous plot twist or misogynistic action against the female lead. Plot was whimsical, but nicely done. No excessive, but stupid chapters. Kudos to a job well done! Thanks!

I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a day. It was compelling, the characters were well written, and I loved the FL (by the end). Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!! I’m going to read more by this author, for sure!!
