The gift of looking clearly and being willing to say what you saw. I had used it to find the truth about what happened to him. And then I had used it to write it down. I opened the laptop. Went back to the manuscript. Read the last paragraph I had written and then kept going the words arriving in the way they arrived on good writing days, not easily exactly but willingly, moving forward because the thing they were building was true and truth had its own momentum once you had cleared enough space for it to move.

It was about turning pain into power, trauma into magic. The words flowed like a dammed river finally finding its way to the sea. My hands trembled slightly, not from fear, but from recognition—like touching an instrument you didn’t know you could play but your fingers instinctively knew. Tears fell onto the paper in specific spots, staining certain words in a way that felt intentional, as if my body knew those moments deserved to be marked with salt. I wrote without stopping. Without revising, without calculating, without thinking about what other people would think. Just writing, the pen moving across the page with an urgency I had never felt in any other activity in my adult life.

The next week was filled with work during the day and Mason at night. She was inspired by him to the point of madness, her fingers itching to write every day when she woke up in his arms. I like to write this book, so I will always update it, no matter how long it has been. This isn't a long update, but I am halfway through writing the next update and for the first time in months, the words are actually flowing easily, and it's not a chore to write, I'm enjoying it. I'm someone who can't write for the sake of it, I have to be enjoying it and it has to happen naturally. That hasn't been happening for me lately and I can't explain why I just hope you enjoy this update and I promise I will upload the next update VERY shortly.
