My head throbbed. Was this really happening? Were men always like this? Before I could even process it, movement stirred around me. Zeus looked unsure but curious. Sawyer looked entertained. Even Damon, who had seemed the least interested, watched with mild disdain rather than outright refusal. “I’m not joining.” Wyatt’s voice cut cleanly through the noise. All eyes turned to him. He was already moving, stepping out of the water with effortless ease. Droplets slid down his skin, catching the light as he reached for a towel nearby.

He could see the hundreds of Zomber Group employees and Bleeders gang members who fled Zomber Tower, and he would be safe as long as he could get to them! Be that as it may… "Heh. Where do you think you're going?" The icy laugh almost stopped Kit's heart right then. "Frank Lawrence—" Bang! The superstructure of Zomber Tower crumbled entirely just then, kicking up a storm of debris and shockwave that sent people flying. However, Kit did not budge at all because a single palm was on his shoulder, holding him in place and keeping him from moving. As the shockwave subsided, a miserable figure caked in mud was spitting out the dirt in his mouth repeatedly, even as he limped toward Frank.

Did some rogues circle around us to attack the camp? Bursting through the underbrush, Wyatt charged into the clearing with the tents and skidded to a halt. Switching forms quicker than he ever recalled doing before, he scanned the immediate area, and he inhaled deeply, scenting blood. The owner of the fluid appeared to be Jaxon, sprawled and bleeding from numerous wounds.

"Will you two give it a rest? The others are here." Both James and Gurley looked down at her. "What others?" they both asked in unison. In answer to their question a group of five vampires, two women and three men, emerged from the woods just off the side of the dirt road led by Zoe. They all were wearing black jumpsuits and looked like they were ready for the next world war. Zoe introduced Mika, Cade, Jake, and Mark to the group as they entered the clearing.

She didn't say anything else after that. Joyce curled up in my arms as Mom and I grabbed our guns and headed to the second floor to shoot the unwelcome visitors down. Meanwhile, Emmett guarded the door on the first floor. The gate fell open with a loud crash, and chaotic footsteps stormed into the yard. It didn't take long for someone to step on the nails scattered all over the place. They howled in pain. The noise attracted the roaming zombies, who flooded in and surrounded the group. Several seconds later, all that was left was the sound of the zombies groaning and blood on the ground.

Wyatt stated plainly. “Wyatt Reed is also accused of actions that resulted in the death of one of our own members of the Vampire Council, Atlas Michaels. Is that also the correct understanding?” Atticus questioned. “Yes sir,” Wyatt responded. Wyatt was asked to explain everything that happened leading up to that fateful day as well as recalling every step he and Kiera took leading up to his fight with Vincent and the killing of Atlas. A few members of both councils took notes and lots of hushed whispers throughout the room.

“I’m surprised he didn’t tell you. I know he knows.” “He did,” I admitted. “But I thought Lycans were extinct. I just assumed he saw some big werewolves and panicked.” Wyatt laughed. “Oh, he panicked all right. He saw a seven and a half foot Lycan. Panic is an understatement.” He leaned back in his chair and crossed his ankle over his knee. “Did he tell you why he wants us all dead?” I shrugged. “I don’t really ask that. I think he told my assistant that you had no business etiquette.”

“Zeev, please –” “Zane is a werewolf!” Those words froze Tyr, and he robotically turned his head to Zeev. “What?”

Once we exited onto the back patio my eyes widened at the horses and barn. "Wyatt us just down there," he offered and pointed to a large man filling up water troughs. When the man turned at hearing his name called, I swallowed uncomfortably. Wyatt was a rugged man with black shaggy hair and wolf eyes. "He is a werewolf," I stammered and Atticus chuckled. "Yes, he is. I should have realized that you can sense that part," he grinned. Wyatt dropped the bucket he held and bowed his head. "I did not know that your daughter was Luna, sir," he said roughly.

Who was the person who had something to discuss Zayden-the person he despised the most? After giving it thought upon it, he asked James to let them come in. He furrowed his eyebrow when he felt the presence of a werewolf. After two minutes of impatient wait, the people who had perked up his ears entered. Out of one was a werewolf and the second was a vampire. He wondered what made a werewolf come here? That too with a vampire. “Hello. I am Wyatt Staunton. And you are?”, He asked as he failed to recognize the person.
