All except X. Two men quickly went to strike X hoping to catch him off guard. Instead X ran towards the wall. The two men instinctively followed him. As X approached the wall, he charged at it full speed. The momentum X gained was enough to scale the wall. As he reached the top of the wall, he placed his left hand on the celling and quickly shifted his entire body around. As his feet touched the ceiling he pressed off of it with such a force that left indentions.

"Hold on! She’s inside! Sereia is inside the armor!" Xander let out a howl that wasn't a sound, but a Frequency Spike. He looked up at the violet pillar, his silver eyes turning a blinding, molten white. He could feel the "Migration" pulling at his marrow, trying to turn his Alpha-heat into 0s and 1s. If she’s the software, Xander thought, his teeth baring in a snarl of pure, "Legacy" rage, then I am the Physical Constraint.

The pack knew. They always did. By the time Carolina reached the edge of the clearing near the main pack house, whispers were already spreading like wildfire. “She shifted last night.” “Did you feel that energy?” “Xander shifted too—at the same time—” Carolina froze. At the same time. Her stomach twisted. Xander stood at the center of it all. Of course he did. Future Alpha. He didn’t blend into a crowd—he commanded it. Even now, freshly shifted, his presence was different. Stronger. Sharper. Like something inside him had fully awakened.

The sound of it was dreadful. His fingers had become bent and shaped with odd angles, accompanied by more cracking noises. His nails receded into their beds and returned to a more human look, although they were extremely bloody. His furs were shedding and falling off in black patches. Finally, Xander fell to his hands and knees, breathing unevenly as the transformation concluded.

We had a future planned. “Stop that!” Xan yelled, instantly making me freeze. “Stop.” I slumped against the wall, panting. “No matter what they do, you can’t shift. If you shift, it’s over.” He sucked in a breath and growled. “I have faith in your mates. I made sure that they’ll be able to find you. You just need to hold on long enough for them to find you.” Our eyes locked and held until he turned his head away.

Xander reassured, his mind working on the next steps. ***

Xander murmured in a low voice to his raging Beta, yet Shawn proceeded with his expressions not holding back, “Somebody needs to tell you the truth, Alex, you fucked up, and I'm sure you know it, Now look where fate has brought us, back to the door step of the same man you treated like trash, begging, of course, if I were him, I'd act the same way. We do not deserve forgiveness Xander, not after everything we did all because of your stupid rage,” Shawn’s words must have triggered Xander's Wolf as he instantly shifted inside the still moving car, it growled at Shawn ready to attack when the beta shifts also,

Zx Me: Hey, Xander. Sorry I couldn’t reply. Hope you’re not too mad at me. We’ve just moved location and I should be here a while now. Speak soon. x Me: Hey, T. I’m sorry I couldn’t reply before. I’m ok. Don’t be mad. I’ve moved to a different base, and there’s signal here. I should be able to speak when I can now. Hope to speak soon. Xxx Hopefully that should placate them all for a bit. The messages and voice messages that came through earlier were varying degrees of angry and worried from all of them, and I haven’t even started wading through the voice messages.

Berry Thistle was a tranquilizer for Bear Shifters. Someone had rigged the car. Dane! I screamed. The shields dropped, Theo and Dane pressing against my mind. Why are you- Xavier's down! I cut off Dane's snarling. There's Berry Thistle in the car vents! I can't wake him. Leave him. Dane and Theo said as one. I wanted to argue, but they wanted me out of here. I couldn't move Xav myself, he was too big and heavy. There was no other scents in the room.

Tyler starred at Xavier in shock as he raised his glass. "To Maya and Xavier forever." Everybody chorused. Xavier grinned. They have sold their lies to the smartest people he knew successfully.
