His jaw ticked, just for a second, before he leaned back and took another long drink.
The table roared again when Marco suggested another round. The bartender slid a tray of shots our way, and hands darted out to grab them. Ryan took his, still with the bottle in hand, and raised the glass in my direction.
What was he doing? Was he drunk?
“To rivals,” he said, his voice sharp enough that only I really caught the bite behind the toast.
