I’m certainly not proposing you this way or this soon despite how much I want to (just so you know, I’m dead serious about proposing to you someday, just not today) This is a promise ring (I believe that’s what they call these days) I give you this ring to say that I’m so in love with you and that I promise to make you the happiest person in the world. I know you don’t love me yet but that’s okay. You said you trust me with your life and I promise that I’ll do anything to keep that trust. I just hope you don’t lose faith in me, ever. I’ve made a lot of promises to you over the years since our childhood. I’ve kept every one of them and I intend to keep them all – new and old.

The morning did not wait for her to recover. It came with the unrelenting insistence of Lagos, tugging at her eyelids with light, stirring the streets below with bus horns and hawkers’ calls. The gown from last night still hung against the wall like an echo, sequins dulled by daylight, yet Promise could not look at it without feeling her chest swell again. Daniel had told her she was remembered. She held onto that word like bread, refusing to let it slip away.

"Just promise tomorrow. Just promise one more day. Just promise you'll try. That's enough. That's all I need. That's all I ask. One more day. Again. Always. Until we can't. Until we lose. Until forever ends." "Then I promise tomorrow." He holds me tight. "Tomorrow I'll choose you. Tomorrow I'll trust the bond. Tomorrow I'll fight the manipulation. Tomorrow I'll try. That's my promise. Today. For tomorrow. One more day." Midnight comes. He forgets. And I lie awake. Terrified of tomorrow. Terrified of the gamble. Terrified of the day the bond isn't enough. The day the manipulation wins. The day they leave. The day the Absolute finally claims victory.

Not a greeting. A promise.

Nic chuckled. “So, what’s with him?” I wondered. “Is he also one of the many who’s come to complain about our dysfunctional family?” “No, it’s quite the opposite, actually.” “He gave us an offer!” Nic spoke in a suspiciously high-pitched tone. “He promised to help clear our name, and he plans on combining all of our forces!” For a second, the world stopped. “H-he did?” I gasped, wondering whatever we had done to receive this kindness. “Nic, that’s amazing!”

Not a threat. A promise. And then he was gone.

And there, I saw an old man who looks exactly like Vaughn, standing while holding a glass of champagne on his right hand. It's tito Saimon. He didn't even change a bit after the past years. He still look the same, na animo'y hindi man lamang nadagdagan ang kanyang edad sa mga lumipas na taon.

(Kenzo's POV) I walked her towards the train station that night. But when I came back to my apartment I saw a notebook , which she left. "Well I guess I'm gonna return it to her tomorrow morning." Out of curiosity, I opened it and I saw bunch of scheduled dates , with all of the things that we will be doing together on the following day. However the schedule written was all moving backwards . I looked at every pages and it is so difficult to understand .
