Her mind spun through grief, rage, and a burning desire to burn every link in the chain. By morning, she was dressed in black jeans, a sleek coat, and strapped with a wire. “I’m going into Dante’s territory,” she told Jaxon. “Let me draw him out. Let me get what we need.” He paced like a caged animal. “You’re not bait, Raven.”

They are all exhausted from the demons, but Luther and Kyra were not yet there. Raven blasted powerful lightning from her hands, and every monster it struck burned and stopped moving in the tunnel. Raven felt her abilities diminishing with each release. They were too powerful for her body to withstand. She looked around and saw that there were many more demons, and they hadn’t yet fought Kyra. When Kyra confronts them, they must all be vulnerable. Tyler will be able to fight Luther or Kyra, she wonders.

There was pineapple juice along with orange juice. I furrowed my brows in confusion. I watched as he carried the pineapple juice. Why is he drinking pineapple juice? He sighed. "Eat your food or I'll eat you," he groaned.

Instead, anger simmered beneath her skin, and she closed her eyes, gathering every ounce of her power. A pulse of energy rippled through the air, and in a blinding flash of white light, the energy surged outward, sending the guards flying back several feet. They crashed to the ground, releasing their hold on her. The gun slipped from Victor’s hand as he was thrown onto the ground with a grunt. Raven wasted no time. She dashed toward the weapon, her fingers closing around it tightly as she raised it, steady and unyielding.

Raven DeLuca said and tilted his head. He's always impatient. For me, Raven is the most troublesome member of Nexus. He kills people for enjoyment. He enjoys killing people; he's often called "Nexus’ psychopath" by other underground organizations. For him, seeing the blood of the people he kills is entertaining. He also often disobeys his role in operations, which is why our new leader, Liham Candreva, keeps a close eye on him. He's not an official member but he became the leader because of his capabilities. He knows how to handle all of us.

The rocket pod on his shoulder popped up and peppered the area near Freya with dozens of explosive rounds. They blasted all around her, and reduced the surrounding trees to blown-out chunks of wood. Although he defended against Freya’s assault, he didn’t realize that it was just a feint. As he turned his facing towards her, he completely exposed his back to Kali. It was an opportunity the Raven wasn’t going to let slip. She charged right towards him, and slashed her axe laterally. It cleaved into his right arm and jammed itself into his right side. The force was so strong that his mecha was thrown to the side.
