Your Driver Is Waiting Novels & Stories

the driver asked. I told him the address, and he nodded.“Get in.” I opened the back door and got inside, the driver started the car, and we joined the busy traffic, I leaned back in my seat and looked out through the window. Everything was fine for the first few minutes, then the traffic started getting worse. The cars in front of us slowed down until we finally came to a complete stop, the driver sighed loudly.“A hold-up,” he said angrily. I looked ahead, there was a long line of cars. I couldn’t see what was causing the delay, but no one was moving.

I wonder what I was feeling. Is it just him or the idea of him? I reached out for my phone, scrolled through the old messages, and saw the facade of texts. I miss everything, I must say. "The new driver is outside". That was James. I checked to see that the message dropped minutes ago. I didn't see it. "He must have been tired of waiting", I said as I slipped into one of my robes. The new driver stood outside the front lawn, checking his watch for what seemed like the hundredth time.

I was so furious with what the other car did so I rushed out of my car and stood at the side, patiently waiting for the other driver to step out. "Is this driver drunk or something?" my wife asked after she stepped out of the car we both waited patiently for the other driver to step out. The door finally opened after waiting for three minutes, a man in a black suit came down from the car and my wife was so shocked "what is it, honey?" I asked "Steve!" she said in shock.

I chuckled, "I will." Then she left. After a while, I stepped outside the bar and pulled out my phone. I went to the ride app to request a ride. The little spinning symbol appeared. Finding your driver… I waited. One minute passed. Then three. Then seven. I frowned at the screen. Finding your driver… Seriously? I refreshed the app. Still searching. Ten minutes later, I was officially annoyed. "Unbelievable," I muttered. Just as I was about to cancel the request, headlights slowed in front of me.

The driver arched an eyebrow as if he was questioning why his colleague came running? The werewolf worker took a step and was now standing beside the driver and with his eyes on the drums, he explained, "We have a lot of drums! It's better if I join you in the inspection!" The driver gave a slight nod and said, "You are right!" Passing the drum that he was about to check to his colleague, the driver said, "Check this one while I climb inside to check the remaining ones!" Skyla's eyebrows hung together out of confusion and fear. She stuttered in her mind, "Why… why are they checking the drums?!"

The driver was waiting for her to respond, looking at the passenger seat. "Just drive the car, I will inform you later to stop when I arrive," she coldly uttered as she rolled down the window. The driver drove the car while she was quietly staring blankly out the window. The cold wind blew, circling the vehicle that embraced her whole body, making her freeze.

He simply looked at me from the front passenger seat with that ungoverned warmth, and when my eyes met his he did not perform the casual disengagement of someone caught doing something they had not intended to be caught doing. He stayed. The car moved through the mountain dark. The driver had the quiet, professional focus of someone who had been driving night mountain roads for years and had long since stopped tracking the conversations of his passengers. Outside the windows the northern terrain moved past in shapes of dark against dark, ridgelines and forest outlines barely distinguishable from the sky. I thought about what Aurora had said. He is simply waiting for you to be the one who say

“The distance from Willowbrook street to this Criston street is not that far. Why are you trying to rip me off?” “Madam, please,” the driver said, raising his voice a little now, his hands gripping the steering wheel. “I spent almost thirty minutes waiting for you to finish your mission. I followed that car, stopping over and over again, wasting precious time. I could have made more than 60 dollars if I were out taking real passengers. I didn’t even charge you that much.” Georgia’s lips twisted into a bitter sneer. “Are you taking this or not?” she said, her eyes burning with defiance.

I hit the number pad multiple times as I typed out a full message. Wizard: Car is waiting outside. Kharon: Thank you. Please keep an eye on the cameras. It’s about a six hour drive and I don’t want any surprises. Wizard: The things I do for you. I snorted as I backed out of the store. Kamilia was still there but I ignored her, looking down the street. A bright blue Ferrari was pulled up and a guy was leaning against it, waiting. Walking up to him, he stood to attention and nodded to me.

Especially when I know that I am at no fault. It is too late to realize that she is the one at fault. She glances outside, and they are already at the front of the company. I want to disappear into thin air. “Ma’am, we are already here. I called you multiple times but you won’t respond to me. You won’t move from your seat. We are already in your desired destination. Now, please, may I get your taxi cab fare and get the hell out of my cab? I have other people on my passenger waiting list. Waiting outside in this scorching hot weather is agonizing.” the driver explained as he scratched his bald head.
