John's eyes were down, deep in contemplation as he walked towards the group. The sensation of eyes on him compelled him to look up. Once again, he was met with an unfriendly, hard stare. Icy blue eyes were locked onto him, conveying a message that seemed to say, "Don't you dare come any closer," sending a chill down his spine.

Why was my face staring back at me? "Say something, please. You have been staring at that wall for minutes now, and I am scared shitless of how glassy eyed you are. So I am going to need you to take a deep breath, and repeat after me, okay?" Was I talking to myself? I blinked. Then blinked again. My reflection was not blinking. There was a frown on the face instead, and maybe I was the one frowning, but something was weird. What was weird? "She's not responding still. She just keeps blinking like something is in her eye," my reflection said, and my lips parted in surprise.

He stood calm, his head slightly cocked to the side as he stared at me through that dark, intense gaze. I think I'm gonna pass out again.

my words had his head turning to me again. “Thank me for what?” he asked in a low tone before looking away from me again, just staring right at the transparent glass in front of him. The glass itself held both our reflection, so he could probably still see me despite not directly staring at me. Whether or not he was willing to look me in the eye, it still won’t stop me from saying what I had intended.

He grabs my hands and stares at me intently, his blue orbs piercing into me like he can see through me. "W..what?" I stutter trying not to squirm from his excruciating gaze. "This connection between us, can you feel it?" • • •

I nip his lower lip, then whirl around, my eyes blazing. “Can’t you see—” I meet Everett’s far too sober gaze.

A sudden smirk grew on his face I couldn't help but roll my eyes, "Oh come on, I wasn't, why would I even stare at you." "Oh please, don’t say and just admit that you were indeed staring at me. I mean it's not that big of a deal. Just say it," He insisted as if saying it will make him feel better. "Just look me in the eyes and say ‘Aaron, I was staring at you because you're good-looking.' There is no big deal in that"

He nudged my face up, diverting my eyes from the water. “I am here, just look at me. You should see me. Only me and not the waters.”

The anchors stared back at me with smiles that almost reached their eyes. Was I imagining this?

My eyes widened in a desire to break the long glass container. I stood up while giving no care to those fires which climbed on my legs. I spotted those people who were observing me in detail, but those were not my attention. I positioned myself back in the middle and straightened my body as I stared at the glass with water. I can feel my eyes turned into a circulating blue as I pushed myself to scatter those water.
