Z For Zachariah Reviews Novels & Stories

“Well, I suppose that means I’ll be seeing you more often, friend.” Friend? That word lands like a slap. We were never friends. We were something raw. Something holy. Something destructive. And now… he says it like it’s just a label he found on the floor. Celestria sips her wine and hums. “That sounds promising. And it looks like someone still needs to introduce himself.” An Omega sweeps by, placing glasses of wine with silent precision. Zach smirks, always playing the part. “Zachary Vale. Beta of the Lunar Fang Pack. Loyal soldier, occasional heartbreaker.” He chuckles. “Happy to be here.”

Zach, my ever-loyal subordinate, stood frozen near the door, brows raised, mouth twitching, gaze flicking from Jane to me like he couldn’t decide whether to scold or salute. Spoiler: He wisely chose neither. Instead, he took a slow breath, straightened to his full height, and leveled Jane with a cool, even stare. “You should probably go.” Probably was generous. But Zach was polite to a fault, even when dealing with human parasites. Jane’s jaw clenched so tight I half expected teeth to shatter. “Are you....are you kidding me? That… that thing attacked me!” Her voice cracked at the end, high-pitched with indignant outrage. I resumed grooming my paw, utterly unbothered.

He closes his eyes a little, and I find myself relaxing, like how I normally do when I’m with him. Slowly, I place my head against his shoulder. I feel him flinch and tense when I did so. He didn’t remove me or push me away, and I feel him slowly relaxing. With the breeze and the way we are right now, I find myself asking, “What happens when the cured meat is gone?” “Zach’s going to hunt,” Yohan says without missing a beat. “I told him it’s going to be easier if he shifts. I told him how to do it.”

It felt like someone literally took a hammer out and smashed Zach's heart because of her facial reaction. "Is it that bad?" "Do you want to hear the real review of the meal?" Hera smiled but Zach only pouted like a baby. "I feel like not hearing it at all but if I don't, how will I improve myself? Bring it on, I will listen to it anyway." "There is too much salt. There some burnt parts and also some parts that the ingredients didn't reach at all, making it bland and tasteless..."

Tears welled up in her eyes, spilling down her cheeks as she blinked rapidly. Someone saved her. The figure moved beside her, and she looked up as the clouds shifted, allowing the moonlight to spill down and illuminate him. Violet gasped, her heart stopping in her chest seeing those red eyes. “Alpha Z...Zenith?” She whispered, her voice barely audible, as the realization crashed over her. Alpha Zenith’s eyes, filled with a mix of worry and anger, locked onto hers. Even though she slapped him, the most powerful Alpha of the continent, he swallowed the tiny insult because the girl in front of him was not some ordinary girl.

I casually tossed the grenade up and down in my hand like a ball before hurling it toward the car where Scarface was hiding. By the time Scarface managed to shove away the zombies around him, his entire body had already erupted into flames. He staggered around screaming in agony, desperately trying to find water to put himself out. But there was nothing here that could save him. I watched expressionlessly as he burned into a charred corpse before collapsing onto the ground. I wondered how many survival points the system would reward me after destroying this many zombies at once. Thinking about that, I turned and walked back toward the estate.

Fondness points: -800] [Lukey was scratched by a zombie. Fortunately, I had medicine with me. Fondness points: -500] [Jeffrey smiled at me today. Fondness points: +10] [Shoved into a swarm of zombies for the second time. Everyone said I was useless. Fondness points: -400] [Shoved for the third time. Fondness points: Depleted. System execution: Activated] [I watched over this city for three years, but everyone wants me dead.]

Zakh "I do want you." I shoved the towel off her breasts, letting it fall to the floor. Her eyes glittered with raw lust as I gripped the hem of her dress. The white fabric strained with her heaving chest, and with one hard yank down, I ripped the gown's bodice into two. "Zakh!" "I can't wait to feel your pussy around my dick." "But—"

“OK… look. I am totally aware that you have a death wish, with all your damn runnin’ into burnin’ buildings and cars about to blow up and shit. But you are even more interested in kickin’ off this earth than I thought if you try to tell Zee that she can’t see you and help you. I mean – c’mon, man. Have you met Zoe Parish? You think she’s gonna accept that situation for one goddamn second?” “She has to.” “Nope. Wrong. She doesn’t, and she won’t.” “I don’t and won’t what?”

“Just a few more minutes.” Theo decides to leave it alone, not arguing as much as he usually would. He’d been much quieter ever since that day, feeling just as lost as I did, but he had an easier time of keeping his hands clean than I did. “Hey.” I sit up straighter when I see Zander approaching with a large duffel over his shoulders. He hoists it up a little higher, gesturing for me to stay seated when I begin to stand. He sets the bag on the floor gently before he takes the empty place on the bench, his brown eyes meeting mine to show an unfamiliar compassion.
