White Wolf

White Wolf

Had it not been for the declaration of war befra's group would have thought they had come to make friends. The leader wolf of the group of assassins looked straight into Ezra's eyes. “What do you guys want to do?” Windy did not hesitate but directly asked the question she wanted to know. Windy's response to that question was a loud laugh from the enemy. Their leader still looked at Ezra sternly; he didn't laugh at Windy or react. "Didn't expect that the one who was called the great warrior of the tribe had such a stupid subordinate?" "Who do you say is the fool?"

The Debt of the Widow

The Debt of the Widow

He held a combat shotgun like it was a toy. “Well, look at this,” the Butcher said, his voice a low, gravelly rumble. “The prodigal son sitting in the hot seat. You really think you’re man enough to hold the Anchor, Dante?” “Go to hell,” Dante coughed. The Butcher walked over to Bianca’s unconscious form. He looked down, then nudged her ribs with the toe of his boot. “She’s the one I wanted. The wolfless bitch makes a better battery. More room for the code when there’s no soul in the way.”

Death Wolf

Death Wolf

She jolted awake, her eyes wide with surprise as they met his. "What… what do you want?" she mumbled, her voice hoarse. Zander’s expression hardened as he stepped closer, tossing the plate of food into her lap. "Eat," he ordered coldly. "I’m not hungry," she spat, refusing to look at him. Zander’s jaw clenched, his patience wearing thin. "I wasn’t asking, Butterfly. I was telling you. Eat, or I’ll shove it down your throat myself." Her eyes sparked with defiance. Grabbing the plate, she flung it against the wall, shattering it into pieces.

Loved the story for a while until the end....sorry didnt like the end, kinda dumb I mean I understand why thora chose who she chose but not Alex that pissed me off actually and ruined the whole book for me but good job with the story line before that.

It was so good! Having to chose like that would be so hard, especially after their changes. But great read! It was nice to have an actual story line and not just a bunch of sex. Don’t get me wrong I love the passion in books but this was really good.

The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

"You can quit yapping. The kid had already proven his innocence when you passed out! To think that you're so vile that you raised the price on the spot and even used modified scales. How despicable!" Shocked, the butcher wheeled on Frank with a deadly glare. "How dare you… You ruined my livelihood!"

Brutal

" I take what Kanye says into serious consideration because everything that he said was the truth. Not many of us have real friends that you'll ride with to the end, not me atleast. I have no friends, the only people I have ever considered a true friend are mass murderers and I'm currently on my way to snitch on them so I guess I'm not a real friend either. My concentration broke as a black suv pulled up beside me. I tried to keep a blank face and not turn around, acting as though I was too tuned into my music to notice them.

I'm sitting at the counter in what I'm assuming is the pack house kitchen, watching the chef make me his famous fried chicken, mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. Honestly it sounds absolutely amazing right now, I'm pretty sure I'm drooling. Zane said he had to go take care of some 'pack business' so it's just me and the chef, who told me his name is Rudy. "You know there's no way you're going to be my Luna or this packs Luna, considering I'm going to be the Luna. Zane just forgot that for a moment. But when he realizes you're nothing more than a mutt, he'll come to his senses and back to me."

To Kiss My Enemy

To Kiss My Enemy

His jacket was tossed to the ground, his white shirt was missing a few buttons, displaying his abs and glorious tattoos. "Brucerò la tua anima e la darò in pasto agli animali, scaverò e calpesterò il tuo cuore e i tuoi organi, maledetto figlio di puttana," Vincenzo spoke, twisting the bat in his hands. At his feet laid a heap of bodies that were Bennet's guards. Jaguar lay on the ground, his head twisted at an odd angle, eyes opened in horror, blood pooling around him.

The Dark Below

The Dark Below

Their last member for their voyage arrives. Butcher turns his head around to see the likes of Xialn. He bears the crest of the panther on his chest as do all of them but his is more worn out and scratched to hell. On his lower back at those sheathed daggers and on his back is a quiver made from animal furs that are thick, thick enough to house bolts. The ends of his ammunition are carved runes that are dull at the moment. Butcher laughs to himself and echoes his voice once he sees him. “How did you ever convince him of this?” Butch turns his head back to the forest, shaking his head as well. “What’s the wrong Butcher? Afraid I’ll kill you?” Xialn’s voice is much more defined, seasoned, and r

Frequently Asked Questions

I stumbled upon 'The Butcher' a while back, and it left such a vivid impression that I had to dig into its origins. The author is Jorge Salinas, a Chilean writer who blends gritty realism with almost poetic violence. His work isn’t widely translated, which makes finding his books a bit of a treasure hunt—part of the fun, honestly. The novel itself is this raw, unfiltered dive into crime and morality, set in Santiago’s underbelly. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but if you’re into dark, character-driven stories, it’s worth tracking down. I ended up ordering a used copy from a specialty bookstore after weeks of searching, and the wait totally paid off.

Salinas has this knack for making even the most brutal scenes feel strangely beautiful. His prose is sharp, almost cinematic, and he doesn’t shy away from ambiguity. 'The Butcher' doesn’t spoon-feed you answers—it makes you sit with the discomfort. I’ve since read his other works, like 'Crimson Shadows,' and they share that same visceral quality. It’s a shame he isn’t more famous outside Latin America, but then again, discovering hidden gems like this feels like being part of a secret club.
