Zeus: The Blind Owl Novels & Stories

Hands slide around my waist, making me jump and barely contain a squeal that wants to escape my lips. “What are you doing?” Theo’s voice comes hushed against my ear. “Watching,” I shrug my shoulder, pointing to the two men in the yard below us. Theo gasps quietly, his chin resting on my shoulder lightly. “That’s Zeus, our ruler, our protector,” he says, astonished. “Not for long. It seems Theseus is his successor,” I tell him.

Zeus said completely ignoring Oceana's question. "Let the mouth speak so that the ear would listen. Let the mouth speak so that the lights shine unblurred. So the riddle is heard." Zeus said. "Oceana, time has become your servant, use it wisely." "Huh??? What does that mean?" Hazel asked while Aster sat quietly, flaunting his tail. "Will you come with me?" Oceana asked him. "Your spirit guide and animal, are enough for you." Zeus said. "From one mission to the other." Oceana muttered.

She kept crying until all the tears engulfed her and she fell asleep. On the other hand, Moon went back to his Villa and was welcomed by his angry, older brother, Zeus. Zeus wasn't just Moon's older brother but also the Alpha of the pack Moon's parents and all other creatures followed in New Orleans. He was strong, wise and very smart. All the other packs respected him. Moon was about to step in when Zeus blocked his way and asked him angrily. Zeus: Where were you the whole day? Moon: Chill bro, I was at the lake.

Seconds later, the sound of large wings disturbing the air drew Nya’s eyes skyward. He appeared over the moon first, as he always seemed to do, pausing there, silhouetted by the silver light, his red and black scales glimmering. Looking up at him, it was hard to think of him as anything other than a magnificent winged creature, a legendary, mythological being of mass proportion. Nya’s mouth dropped open as she gazed up at him, her awe temporarily disturbing her mission.

Zigas' chirp made me gasp because a few seconds ago, I was lost in my thoughts. "Oh, about that, uncle confirmed to the Moon Goddess that I can get my sight back every full moon night. But you know what, Xerenity said that I would only be able to see until dawn, but strangely my vision does not disappear even after dawn has passed." Zigas frowned, "How did that happen, sir?" I shook my head softly, "I have no idea." *** Zigas turned the car I was in towards the outskirts of a city filled with empty and abandoned buildings. One of those buildings was our headquarters—the headquarters of the Rogues and where we do a lot of secret work.

I let out, as I could feel her chin shaking in my hand. “She’s blind,” Shawn let out and that instantly made me confused. “Blind, Lucia,” “Are you blind?” I asked, not wanting to believe that the moon Goddess sent Lucia as someone else. Lucia is the only blind woman that would ever love me. Why wasn't she answering? “Don't let me repeat myself, are you blind?” I yelled. “Yes!” she let out as my hands went shaky.

Emerson POV The words sliced through the murmurs around me. They weren’t the worst ones. “Don’t look at her,” someone whispered urgently, too close to my ear. “Snake-eyes bring bad luck.” Another voice followed, lower, fearful. “That’s why the Alpha hates her. You don’t stare at things like that and survive.” My stomach twisted. Several pack members turned, their glares sharpening. Some looked away quickly, like my eyes might infect them if they lingered too long. One of them bared his fangs and lunged forward, his steps heavy and deliberate.

The hall erupted. "What?" Someone exclaimed from the group. "Mate?" "His fated mate?" "The Moon Goddess paired the most powerful Alpha Zenith with a human?" "Impossible!" But Zenith didn’t bat an eye at anyone. As if he expected these reactions. Even his parents were shocked. He never mentioned this to them before. Giovanni was too shocked to say anything. Several elders stood from their seats. One council member stepped forward. "We respect your decision but Alpha Zenith, a human cannot survive Luna responsibilities!"

I know he heard me but he didn’t respond. “What happened?” Nova yelled from the bathroom. She had taken refuge hugging the porcelain king. “We got attacked but I don’t know by who. Ky said it wasn’t rogues but the one we saw was clearly a rabid rogue.” Jessica sighed. “So this is what it means to be a luna? No fighting, hiding away like I am helpless?” “I think it was more to make sure Nova got to safety.” I honestly felt like that was the right answer. “And you, princess fucking glowing showoff.” The echo from Nova’s voice told us she was literally face down in the toilet. Jessica and I looked at each other and smirked.

They all knew something bound Odessa from the beginning and now something is attacking her in ways they can’t understand. “Mark my words… anything happens to her because of you and your magic… I will rip you to pieces slowly and make you suffer.” Levantus growls in warning, his amber eyes glowing with his wolf at the surface. The elder bows her head and rests her fist like a warrior’s salute against her chest.
