Some parts were written in a language she didn’t recognise—but somehow… She could understand it, not perfectly and not everything, but enough as it spoke of beginnings, of creation, of power and of her. Zoe’s breath would catch every time she turned a page. Stories of the Moon Goddess creating wolves, stories of balance between light and darkness and then, there was something else, buried deep in the book, a warning, a legend and about a being born not of one ... but of many.

Whiskey. I searched the village before it got too dark. It was only a small one. I'd say home to maybe less than sixty. Well, was home to them, not anymore. I did manage to find the pack library after a bit of ransacking. It was quite small, but the books and scrolls were very old, the oldest one dating back six hundred years. It was a journal kept by an Alpha at the time. He had decent handwriting, though my old Russian was a little rusty, so a lot of the text was a mystery to me. The yellowing pages were filled with pictures and diagrams and detailed notes. One word stood out among the rest. Boginya. Goddess. I read through the journal a bit more, until I was fully satisfied. This pack hav

The sun, dipping low in the sky, cast a soft glow across the garden, adding warmth to the already soothing atmosphere. Zoe sank down onto a smooth, flat rock near a small pond, watching as koi fish glided beneath lily pads, their orange and white scales gleaming in the late afternoon light. She pulled the Chronicles of the Aetherians from her bag and laid it on her knees, her fingers lightly tracing the intricate symbols on its leather-bound cover. The book felt ancient, alive even, as if it held secrets waiting to be unlocked, secrets she was only beginning to understand.

Rain's mind wondered to the stories of his people and how they originally worked with the covens. There was a time long ago when witches and wolves worked together, witches would sometimes even find themselves mated to wolves through a gift of the moon goddess. But, one of those matings went wrong long ago. A witch named Aster and an alpha from the blood moon pack had become fated mates. But, the witch was sterile and could not have any pups for the alpha.

She looks nothing less than a child trying to find her identity. “A golden wolf,” she says in a whisper. “Known generation after generations, for putting an end to the peace in packs. Yet, very powerful. And enchanting. They are known for seducing Alphas. Creating a fake mate bond. Especially when they don't have a family of their own.” I can feel Nova's eyes on me. She is looking for the doubt of any kind. I don't look at her. I can't give her that benefit of doubt. “I didn't do any of that,” she whispers, and the priestess nods, leaning down.

A stain eliminated. Erect at the sacred altar stood two figures—Alpha Aldrin and Spenza, who was now about to be crowned as Luna. Neither of them seemed to care about Reign. Not even Spenza, her sister. She was all smiles, tying the knot with a man who had been her sister’s until minutes ago. The glee of becoming Silverwood’s Luna had blinded her that much, or so people thought. Then again, traitors were never shown even a shred of mercy, not even by those who shared their blood. That was the way of the supernatural world. One betrayal, and you were cut off as though you had never belonged.

"I'm a girl who wants the killing to stop. But if we don't act now, there will be no sun to go back to." The woman stood and looked at her people. "I am Lyra. If you can hold the shield, we will provide the focus. We are the discarded blood of two worlds, but together, we are the strength of the earth." The mountain groaned. High above, the sound of metal grinding against stone told them the High Circle’s weapon had arrived. The Colossus was a machine of divine magic, designed to crush entire cities under its weight.

“How can it be this serious if he barely even drank from her?” I let out a mental groan at his confusion and press down harder on the mental barrier. “You do not need to drink a mouthful to become addicted. All he could have done was taste a drop of blood from maybe when she wounded herself and it will still have the same effects. The blood of the Celestial Wolves are addictive , especially when said wolf is your mate.” “So what do we do now?”

From what I read, it started before The Darkness emerged from the warlock tribes of Somsak. It feels like a myth at this point that mating bonds ever existed. The best investigators still only assume what actually happened, but as the story goes, The Darkness was in response to a warlock that fell in love with a prophetess. She was lycan, and his fear was she would find her true mate. So, he kept her locked away in Somsak, and tried to convince her to stay with him and return his love. Then one day, the royalty from Osvald arrived in Somsak to hold diplomatic trade discussions. As King Oran was touring Somsak, his wolf felt a pull. It is described as a string tied around your consciousness t
