Because of my familiarity with some novels, I misjudged them before I even understood anything about them. We talked a little more, and they were very pleasant. Kyra's POV Mark's sharp eyes met my casual and smiling ones as he stood in a confident stance, holding his twin swords in each hand. Both swords were the opposite of each other; one was slender and only as wide as two fingers. It was also long, and its tip was as pointed as a nail's. The other one was thicker and wider, almost as wide as two adults' palms placed together. It was shorter, and the tip was blunt. Both weapons might seem different, but they complement each other quite well. The blunt one only makes use of raw strength and defense, while the other focuses more on speed and agility, making it good for offense and support.

James followed Directory Blakeney into practice gym #4 and he quickly changed into his shorts and t-shirt. Blakeney handed him a wooden sword. It wasn’t thin and long like some of the play-swords he had used as a child. It was maybe only three to four feet in length, and somewhat broad. In one smooth motion, he blocked two spears and pushed the soldiers back into the mud.

Boro and Mika stood in the sand circle as the two finalists. The animosity between the two was so thick in the air it was almost palpable. Boro stood in the ready form, Crane In The Water, standing perfectly balanced on one leg, his sword held out before him. Mika stood in a form that Boro didn't recognize. Boro prided himself on knowing all the forms of classical, and modern, sword art, the fact he didn't recognize this one was puzzling.
