Chapter 14: Walk With Me

Although being an Alpha’s Pet—and an Alpha’s Pet candidate—is technically his private and personal whore, the people made no sound about it.

Either because they don’t want to disappoint the Alpha or perhaps there is more to being an Alpha’s Pet than serving him in bed and escorting him to whatever revelry he indulges himself to.

Either way, I’m my usual self: a messy ray of sunshine with a smile that can summon thunderstorms.

And I’m also wearing my usual shade of gray dress but a more provoking kind of attire. Beta Audrey lent me it. She basically can’t say no since it’s the Alpha that knocked on her apartment door and demanded. I also paid no heed as the Beta glared at me the entire time I changed in her room. Alpha Cain sadly tossed the clothes I was wearing to the open fireplace before running an eye all over me and this gray dress.

I flashed a ‘too-sweet to be casual’ kind of smile to every passer-by. The streets are already packed up with people, stores and restaurants running t
